What a beautiful array of colours, shapes and textures! Each season has a beauty of its own.
So true, thanks, Anne!
You can see the beauty of the trees in fall from what they leave.
True. Looking down clues me in to look up as well. 🙂
The colors of life 🌈
Yes, indeed… thanks, Karen!
Love this shot, Eliza. Looking down these days is such a treat. 🍁🥰
Thank you, Jane, I agree, my neck gets a work out looking both down and up, ha!

Beautiful array —even in the “death” of trees there is beauty in knowing new birth is on the other side of dying and letting go.
Thank you, Dee, I love the cycles of nature, so reassuring to me. ❤
Absolutely. To me too. Letting go is ok. Rebirth is on the way.
Beautiful – thank you
Thank you, Ellen!
The layered-look of Autumn. Quite a variety growing there.
Yes, the combination of things is beautiful and speaks of the endless cycles of nature. Miracles!
That would make a great jigsaw puzzle!
If you touch the photo, you can ‘Add to Photos’ there are puzzle apps in which you can use your photos in jigsaw puzzles. A few days ago I did that with a yellow Gazania photo of mine that I’d just taken.
The App is: ‘Totally Fun Jigsaw’ gives you the option of using your photos.
Cool, thanks for the idea, Alice. 🙂
Thanks for the tip, Alice. I have had several photos made into real jigsaw puzzles. There’s a real talent to picking the right photo though!
True! A challenging one, too. 🙂
It’s definitely like a colorful, crunchy carpet out there.
Yes, I often just stop and take it all in. The colors are so lovely both on and off the trees. 🙂
Beautiful autumn forest floor ~ I love looking down under the trees as much as I love looking up into them. Love the mottled colors.
Thank you, Barbara. I agree, beauty is everywhere!

I see mulch and nutrients.
Spoken like a true gardener. 🙂
Chuckling! 🙂
A treasure of nutrients for the forest floor or the garden!
Yes, indeed! Food for the forest as well as the soul. 🙂
We’re still so green. This is a lovely scene, and would tempt me to visit east Texas again — but I’ll have to avoid the pine forests if I want colored leaves!
Thank you, Linda. We’re at the tail end of the season with the oak and beech trees left for color. But I am enjoying the smaller shrubs around the yard and seed heads that shine this time of year. Beauty abounds!
aren’t fall leaves beautiful..love them! sending happy vibes your way..
Thank you, Dymoon. Fall is a lovely time of year, for sure. 🙂
Beautiful image Eliza! Enjoyed seeing it!
Thank you, Reed!
humus

Beautiful mosaic!
Thank you, Laurie!
Simple beauty!
Thank you, Dale. It is indeed. 🙂
Have a fabulous Wednesday, Eliza! 🙂
Thanks and same to you!
Thank you kindly!
Yay, it’s fall. Lovely image, Eliza. 😊
Thank you, Irene. Simple pleasures!
A gorgeous mosaic of form, color and texture. Nice capture!
Thank you very much, Tina!
How lovely! I see pine needles and deciduous leaves. And a lot of beauty 🙂
Thank you, Adele. The forest in fall is over the top!
Wall to wall leaves…the perfect carpet!
As fine as a Turkish carpet! 🙂
That is an awesome picture. Love it!!!
Thank you, Gary!
A great reflection of the beauty your area offers during the fall season.
Thank you, Kris. The woods are amazing this time of year.
A beautiful collage and image Eliza! 🧡
Thank you, Xenia! Nature is a fine artist. 🙂
Such variety! And how cool that leaves don’t all turn at the same time … or the same colors!
In summer, all are green, but then in autumn, their individual identities become apparent exquisitely!
Heh, our front lawn looks like that at the moment. 🙂
Free mulch! 😀
Yep! 😀
Fun to explore everything in this shot 😊
Thank you, Donna. IKR? It’s hard to walk with a photographer… we stop a lot! 😉
My husband does not like walking with me if I’m carrying my camera and it’s a long trail. He’s forever way ahead of me. He’d rather I go alone. 😅 And honestly I would rather go alone! 😂 Now with bike riding and no camera, I’m all for trying to pass him and be the leader! 🤣 😊
LOL!
It certainly makes a fine fall rug!
Yes, indeed it does– thanks, Belinda!
I love the various colors and stages. A mixture of life. Beautiful. 🙂
Thank you, Robin!
Lovely leaves Eliza
Thank you, Karina!
Nature’s random tapestry. Beautiful, Eiza!
Thank you, Steve!
A beautiful and colorful find and capture!
Thank you, Denise. At this time of year, it pays to look down as well as up!
Here at my place with a mix like that they seem to breakdown much quicker than say stacks of all Oak leaves.
Yes, they do. Oak leaves have tougher cell walls, so are slower to break down. I have a big oak tree in the back yard with tons of leaves. Once they are on the ground, I run them over with the lawn mower to ‘speed up’ the breakdown process.
Hope you have a great weekend, Eunice!
Went to Popham Beach in Maine today tomorrow the Big E for Fiber show.
Are you a fiber artist as well as a painter?
I used to spin as a child and I crochet and do macrame being 65 I lived in a time where my mom and aunts did everything and taught me so much but then I followed dads lead and worked 18 hours a day which left little time for crafts so now I guess I have finally just embraced retirement as I was forced into it with the wreck in 2000. Not in my rig but in a van hit by a Foxwood bus 😦 I was too young so fought back and trucked for 2 more years before the body said no more.
One never knows where the road will lead us, I guess. Glad you are now able to sit back a bit and do the things that you find pleasurable. The best retirement has to offer. 🙂
Bless you it has been a journey for sure to find peace within.
Your talent with finding bouquets all around you is a gift, Eliza. I loved this forest floor photo, so colorful and complete.
Thank you, Jet. My eye is in the habit of finding/seeing arrangements, I think!
Beautiful colours Eliza.
Thank you, Andrea!
Wow! Colour. Nice shot. Thank you 🎉🙂
Thank you, Priti!
My pleasure 🙂💓God bless you
Out for a hike yesterday, and I loved looking at the trodden floor of the forest path… made me feel like I was in the midst of autumn. Your photo here rekindles the same feeling, an amazing array of the colors of fall.
Thanks, Randall. Sometimes the vignettes in nature are simply astounding, Nature is a fine artist. 🙂
Awesome!
Thank you!
Perfectly composed – such a beautiful image!
Thank you, Carol. For a brief period, the ground is as pretty as the trees themselves. 🙂
😊
