Wonderfully spooky!
Yes, B&W helps give a spooky look to it. Thanks, Dale!
That it does!
Happy Halloween ๐
Thank you, Karen!
Black and white photos have such a different impact, than colors. Interesting headstone shapesโฆoh to wonder about the lives โฆ..who went before us.
B&W adds to the spooky effect… I often wonder the same when I wander through these old cemeteries.
Happy Halloween Eliza
Thank you, Karina!
Spooky! Happy Halloween, Eliza! ๐ป
Thank you, Barbara!
Happy Halloween!!๐
Thank you!
Happy Halloween, Eliza!
Thanks, Steve!
Happy Halloween Eliza.
I have a very old place like this beside my property that was recently vandalized
which saddens me. Even when we are dead there is no peace. You and I show the beauty of these places of respect tonight as I do a huge event for the young children in town I worry what will be happening here because of a few older teens.
Thank you! Focus on the good and have fun with the young ones – enjoy the best of the holiday, Eunice!
It was a child filled evening actually they must have bussed them in ๐ but all had fun.
Befitting for boos! ๐ฒ ๐ป ๐
The veil is thin… beware! ๐
Yikes! Happy Halloween, Eliza.
Thank you, Alys!
hauntingly lovely… waves across the miles..
๐ Thank you, Dymoon.
Happy Halloween Eliza!
Thanks, Reed!
The cemetery looks very old and very New England.
Yes, it is, many stones are from the 1700s. I love visiting the older cemeteries – so much history.
The black and white truly adds to the eeriness of this shot, Eliza — spooky, indeed!
Thanks, Debbie!
Now that’s the real thing when it comes to spooky! Enjoy Halloween, Eliza!
Thank you, Kris!
Very New England! love it.
Thank you, Amy. We have some great old cemeteries around here. ๐
Wouldn’t it be pretty scary Tonight ๐
Yeah, any night, really! ๐
Lol.. not meeting you there! Relatives from Springfield and Northampton..
Isn’t that interesting… so close by. Small world, eh?
my Dad was born in Springfield his family was in Northampton for a long time.
My dad lived in N. from 1924-’33. Maybe they knew each other… wouldn’t that be something!
Too weird born 1923.. Springfield..not sure when N. Or if.
Only a year apart. It could have been a possibility!
Look out for Grants in the cemetery. I looked up New England ancestors once and the sheer quantity was amazing. Are you into genealogy?
Family history is interesting and while I have relatives who have done a lot of research, I’ve only gleaned from them. Both sides hail from Quebec/France and came here in the 1800s. My mother spoke French at home until she was school age… even as kids she would use French phrases, esp. when exasperated with us, ha!
Same here..with family history..sans French.
Beautifully eerie, hauntingly beautiful! Thanks for the chill.
Thank you, Kathy, glad you liked it! ๐

Thank you, Maria. The old grave markers are so interesting to look at and read. ๐
Yes
Happy Halloween, Eliza! Wandering through old cemeteries is fascinating. Nice image! Agree the effect of B&W is impactful..
Thank you, Susie!
Well done, Eliza! ๐
Thank you, Robin!
Some people go hunting for haunting.
๐
Your smiley is hinting that you do go hunting for haunting.
Not really, I’m a bit of a scaredy cat and prefer sunshine and flowers. ๐
๐
Certainly set the right mood. ๐
๐ Thanks, Belinda!
Cemeteries are fun to explore and this is a great shot for Halloween! There’s a lot of history there!
Thanks, Denise. New England has lots of old cemeteries to explore. Perfect for a spooky shot. ๐
