What a lovely capture of that tree’s reflection dancing in the water. This reminds me of an impressionistic painting
Thank you, Sarah. I find them so soothing to watch as they ripple and morph.
That must mean the snow cover is disappearing. Good news.
Yes, it resides now only in the north-facing shadows, a bit less every day. Going forward!
Excellent
Beautiful reflection β€
Thank you, Mel. Do you ever paint reflections?
Lovely βπ
Many thanks, Karen. β€
What an artistic picture – you have a good eye!
Thank you kindly, Anne!
Very nice! It is always fun to photograph reflections! I like to also shoot them as a vertical panorama with 2 or 3 shots showing the tree and including the reflections.
Thank you, Reed. I wish I had the software for that. It sounds wonderful to do. π
Excellent movement here, with a grass and silt surround for context
Thank you, Derrick. Reflections are mesmerizing, aren’t they?
They are indeed
Stunning……….reflections are so interesting….
Thank you, Alice. I can stare at the movement of reflections endlessly. π
Winter is melting! Hooray! Beautiful reflection. I love the squiggles (the movement) and the color of the clouds (looks like sunrise or sunset colors?).
Thank you, Robin. Yes, winter is melting away and the roots are drinking up all that water to make shoots and leaves – yay!
(Taken late in the day, I rarely rise early. π )
Oh God! Mesmerising β€ What an eye for beauty you have dear lady! π·
Thank you very much, Isha!
Lovely and ghostly!
π Thanks, Laurie.
Beautiful reflection, sometimes words are just not necessary!
Thank you, Maria!
Thank you π
How nice. pretty picture
Thank you!
You’re Welcome.
I was wondering why this looked so optimistic … and I think it is because I am sure I can see pink clouds in that reflection. It is a lovely vignette.
Thank you kindly, Allison.
Looks like things are greening up a bitπ
It’s raining, too. April showers bring May flowers. π
Wonderful reflection, Eliza. Well seen.
Thank you very much, Jane!
I like the juxtaposition in your photo of bare branches, dead leaves, and green stalks.
Thank you, it does speak of the transient nature of all things, doesn’t it? π
A lovely shot. Well seen is a great comment and true! Not everyone sees things like you do.
Thank you, Amelia. I guess that is true, I am in the habit of seeing beauty. π
I am constantly amazed at what people don’t see.
Agreed! What is worse is when I point something out, they shrug and say ‘ho-hum.’ I don’t get that. I find great joy and purpose in seeing beauty.
Absolutely and worse,indeed.
Now, there’s a portal to a different universe, it ever I’ve seen one! π
π
There aren’t many things as pretty as reflections in water. As Widdershins said, it looks like a portal to another dimension.
Thank you, Kris. Water is such a pleasing element.
Hey π
I’ve nominated you for the sunshine blogger award…
Rules here: http://elizareasonstolive.com/sunshine-blogger-award/
Thank you for bringing sunshine into my life! I love your blog!!
Eliza
Thank you very much, I’m honored, Eliza. I’m glad you like my blog! However, I’m at a loss for perpetuating the award, so I’ll let you honor another blogger. Thank you again!
Lovely reflection. Not showing the actual tree give the illusion of an upside down alternate world.
Thank you… as mentioned in previous comments, I guess it is the ‘impression’ of a tree. π Thanks for stopping by!
Kind of quirky … which I like π
Glad to hear it – thanks, Val!
Such a soul-stirring portrait of changing nature. Beautiful
Thank you, Archita.
Facinating shot. You have such an eye for subject and balance.
Thank you very much!
Meditation in photography. Photography in meditation.
True! β€
Lovely reflection!
Thank you, Fi!
Is that green grass I see there? I haven’t seen it in so long, I’ve forgotten what it looks like.
;D I know, it’s been a long winter stretching into spring.
Great, well done!
Gracias, Maria!
LOVE THIS! πππ
Thank you, Amy!
GREAT PHOTO!
Thank you very much!
