The reds are gone, and the golds are shining bright. Lovely.

Thank you, Laurie! It just glowed. đ
Love it!
Stunning leaves with the red veins. Mine turns bright red some years and now it’s a burgundyâĻbut no gold.
Thank you, Alice. Backlit, this was a stunning tree.
The best gold one can find!
Indeed, thanks, Sandy!
Sure!
Beautifully captured Eliza, I love the way the light flows through the leaves đ§Ą
Thank you, Xenia, the light was astounding!
This is beautiful the way the light glows through the leaf Eliza.
Thank you, Andrea. The sunlight lit it up like a lantern!
Sometimes it’s the supposedly simple shots that evoke the most emotional response. You’ve done it again, Eliza!
đ Thank you kindly, Debbie!

Nothing matches the yellow of fall. Lovely!
Thank you, Belinda! That’s the truth. đ
So beautiful. I saw a comic today in which autumn leaves were assigned 1-5 star ratings. Yours would be a 5!
Thank you, Kris!
All the beautiful colours of fall makes it a little easier to say goodbye to the garden, don’t you think?
Beautiful photo!
Thank you, Maria. It is a splendid grand finale, to be sure!
I hope your new week got off to a great start Eliza!
Lovely warmth in the backlighting and nice composition with the sharp leaf and background softies.
Thank you, Steve!
Lovely autumn essence!
Thank you, Barbara!
Beautiful . . .
Thank you, Lynn.
Beautiful light đ
They are gorgeous even when on the ground.
Yes, a carpet of them always pleases. đ
I prepared my raised beds (took out the last of my potatoes) and will top them off with chopped up leaves. Today I filled a whole box with garlic cloves and will mulch that one so I don’t have them grow in these warm temps.
The red veins and stems certainly complement that glorious gold and black combination.
Thank you, Linda, it was a particularly lovely Japanese maple. I also have one that gets a blazing red in the fall, breath-taking to behold.
Beautiful leaf and light. The ones in the background make it seem more wistful somehow.
Thank you, Susan. I think gardeners are appreciative of the natural cycles of nature and apply them to our own lives. All is ephemeral and subject to change!
Lovely composition. I think that there is some serious photographic talent amongst my blogging gardener friends!
Thank you very much, Allison!
It truly does look gilded! Lovely.
Thank you, Carol!
Stunning colorsâĻâ¨
That’s beautiful.
Thanks, Vinny.
Compared to other years, how good was the fall foliage there this year?
It was (still is) pretty good. We had a rainy summer and a mild Sept. so it set the stage well.
That is one amazing capture!! So simple yet so beautiful!! đ This seemed like a real golden leaf in the first place! Hope to see more such wonderful clicks in the near future.
