Visions of things to come. 😊
Yes, I always force a pot or two of bulbs to bloom this time of year to get me over the hump of winter. 🌷
Your indoor garden is doing well and is certainly cheering!
Thank you, Anne. It helps living through our long winters.
Indoor gardens are especially lovely! Very cheerful 🙂
Thanks, Dale. My sunspace gets me through the winter, I love it!
It must help tremendously!
It sure does! 🙂
🌼🌻🌸
A breath of fresh air!
Yes, indeed… thanks, Sandy!
My pleasure, Eliza.
Wow, you have the olden touch, Eliza. ❤️☺️🌸
Thanks, John. 🙂
You’re welcome. ☺️
What a happy view 💛
Thank you!
I remember my astonishment the first time I saw Cyclamen used here as a bedding plant. They’re such lovely flowers. On the other hand, the only time I remember seeing narcissus or daffodils here is as grocery store cut flowers.
There are only a handful of narcissus that will grow in the south. Paperwhites are one, which are not hardy here and must be grown inside.
Ah, nice way to start my morning. Beautiful.
Thanks, Judy. Stay warm this weekend!
Happiness is…..flowers and a sunny day!!
You got that right! 🙂
I have February Silver in my garden….a whiter version & just as lovely. What a beautiful spring scene you have there!
Thank you! The sunspace makes winter much more tolerable. ☺️
once again true beauty sparks me! -so much beauty around us.
We are blessed, for sure. Thanks, Michele. Have a lovely weekend!
We had a 70 degree days yesterday which put my in the mood for daffodils for sure! 40 degrees today. The whiplash in weather this “winter” has been bizarre.
70º??? OMG! We’re glistening with ice here and the gusty winds are bringing a windchill well below zero. I’m not venturing far today!
It is so weird, but we were this little pocket of June weather yesterday in the mid-Atlantic with winter raging all around us East and West.
More weather weirding!
🤩💛💖🙌🏼
Thank you, Susan! 🙂
Ah, the exciting anticipation of Spring to come!!
Yes, indeed, thanks, Debbie!
So pretty. You are inspiring me to try a little harder on my plants. 😉
Thanks, Pepper! I must admit I am better tending my gardens than my houseplants, where Nature does most of the watering. 😉
I don’t usually do either well. Seems that I did a little better this winter since not all my indoor plants have died yet. Let’s not mention that winter has been short. 🤫
🙂
It’s nice to see these forced colors and anticipate them in the garden. I gave Mary Beth a cyclamen for V day.
I love cyclamen. I have best luck with the miniatures as opposed to the larger ones. They go dormant and spend the summer under the chairs on the front porch!
So good to have some colour indoors in winter – love the February Gold!
Thank you, Cathy. I only made up one pot last fall. At least I got one done!
My all time favorite daff. Had drifts of them in Atlanta. I have never not killed a Cyclamen, well done and so pretty.
Thank you, Amy. I guessed that it would be an easy forcer and it came through for me. That cyclamen comes back for me every year. I’ve not had as good luck with others. It loves the cool sunspace and fades to dormancy in spring, sending out new leaves in the fall. Pretty easy!
Every year?! Well done. You have the hang of it.
For decades! Winter is LOOOOONG here. And right about now, I’ve had about enough of it! The forced bulbs help. 😉
Foregleams of spring, so pretty and cheerful!
Thank you, they sure are pleasing us during this cold spell. 🌞
Aptly named! I hope you’re enjoying the reflected sunshine. Winter has made a somewhat surprising return trip to my part of the country too.
Thank you, Kris. They brighten our days for sure.
I’ve read that it is snowing in LA, now that is NEWS!
It’s been reported that there’s snow on the ground surrounding the Hollywood sign, Eliza. It’s cold in here but not quite cold enough (yet anyway) to get snow in my immediate area but we did get some hail!
You must be chilly all the same, but just be glad it won’t be 2º tonight like it will be here! 🙂
The jaunty daffodils are certainly the star of the show, but how l love cyclemens.
Thank you, Laurie. They both are great for cheering one up. 🙂
I need to pot some up!
Every fall, I usually pot up some spring bulbs and put them in the garage/cellar for a few months, watering them occasionally. It is worth it when they bloom while it is still winter!
Yes, and here I am forcing my Forsythia. 🙂
Ah, thanks for the reminder!
🙂
Just read your last comment and what a great idea. I will file it away.
Do you have a cold place for them to be dormant? I know some folks just put the bags of bulbs in the fridge, but I suspect they’d be better if potted, so they could root. I always choose early varieties as they force easier.
No cold places here, but I may be moving to a cold climate in the future.
Interesting! Homeward bound??
Moving towards the kids. Grandbabies are coming.
Congrats!
They are beautiful! I only have one popping up and hoping for more soon. I will enjoy yours in the meantime 🙂
Thanks much, glad to share. 🙂
Oh yes 😊
Color right when we’re craving it!
Nice to see some colour! We are verging on spring here. Red deadnettle is in flower, and snowdrops, and a few daffodils.
Thanks, Adele! This is the extent of colour here at this point… We’ve had snow, with more coming, so we’ll be awaiting the arrival of spring bulbs for a while yet. Enjoy yours!
Nice to see your daffodils as reminder that spring will come … even to Colorado! 🙂
Thanks, Denise. That bright color is so anticipated this time of year!
