The sky looks much like here today. Had another gulley washer.
I hear monsoon season is pretty intense out there this year. Take care, John.
Hi Eliza, yes, we’ve had much more rain this summer than last, there’s a flash flood warning in effect at this moment too. It rained really hard at my place yesterday, this new storm today went just south of me. Good to see you!
A beautifully dramatic picture. I am hoping we will see some of those during the summer.
Thank you, Anne. I hope you get a fair amount rain this year. You really need a break from the drought.
Wow – look at all those shades of blue!
It was quite the amazing sight… thanks!
I can feel the chill, just looking at it!
🙂 Thanks, Anita. This one was so huge!
So was the chill… ⚡️⚡️
🙂
Beautiful shot! That storm must have produced some significant downpour.
Thank you, Hien. These massive clouds always stop me in my tracks!
Great capture 👏
Thank you, Karen! 🙂
Nice shot, but I’m guessing you had a lot of photo opportunities this past month. 🙂 We ended the month with 15″ of rain.
Thanks, Judy. Wasn’t it an unbelievably wet month? Such crazy weather. What lies ahead for August, I wonder?
Wow! Looks very threatening and unfriendly!
Yes, big thunderheads always give me pause!
Impressive. I hope the rain gets to go where it’s needed. I wonder how many gallons in that cloud 😬
Interesting to ponder, they are massive! Thanks, Alice. 🙂
Phew! Dramatic. Gave me the shivers to look at it.
IKR? When you see one of these, you batten down the hatches!
You bet!
I think this is beautiful, Eliza, I’m am looking up through a window of clouds to Heaven!
Thank you, Donna. These towering clouds always capture my attention, they’re so massive!
Do you need rain? Looks you might have got some from this baby!
No, we’ve had LOTS of rain… July was one of our wettest on record… triple the average amount of rain. Plants are happy!
Hi Eliza. Very impressive. We’re sitting through yet another thunderstorm here in France. Summer on hold.
MJ
Thank you, MJ. Yes, thunderstorms are part of summer, too. 🙂

Thank you for reblogging!
We have a few of those right now. Fall is coming 🙂
Cooler days ahead!
Yes!
I love clouds, especially those unobscured by smog 😉
I imagine clouds are precious things in your neck of the woods, Kris. We mostly take them for granted, until they do things like this.
Towering cumulus are one of the marks of our summer. Watching them build is a favorite activity. It’s especially fun offshore, or even on land in the late afternoons, when the rain shafts are scattered all around. They can be gorgeous at sunset, when they take on the colors of the sun.
They are pretty extraordinary. Thanks, Linda!
Did it bring rain – it certainly looks threatening.
Oh yes, we were deluged in July with triple our normal rainfall for the month. Highly unusual!
Weather is strange this Year again. We had seven days of over 25 degrees Celsius a couple of weeks ago, but back to cool and rain again.
Spectacular cloud, Eliza. I so love them and take scads of them!!
Thank you, Dale. The more massive, the better! 🙂
Yes!
Very nice, Eliza! I do like dramatic skies.
Thank you, Belinda. This was definitely dramatic! 🙂
A wonderful capture of the storm cloud Eliza! 💙
Thank you, Xenia. It has been a stormy July!
Wonderful capture!🙂 It’s been a horrible month of storms here and as much as I love watching the clouds, they need to take a long vacation in August.
Thank you! I know what you mean. Here it is, Aug. 1 and it is still raining! Oy!
Ominous.First drought, then soaked. Looks like we should dry out a bit most of this coming week.
Those big ones do give me pause. Looking forward to a week of nice weather.
Yes, bring the rain! Great capture Eliza! Have a wonderful week! 💙
Thank you, Julie, same to you!
Impressive. We have had far too many of those this year though! 😉
Thank you, Cathy. Yes, the storms have been relentless. I didn’t have to water anything in July and just today gave one of my hangers a drink… it had been quite a while since I had to do that!
