Lovely!!
Thank you, Trini! 🙂
Double delight!! 💛
🙂 Thanks much, Donna!
Very nice
A happy photo! ❤️😬
Thank you, John. Yellow is a cheerful color!
My favourite color 🌼🌼🌼
Glad to bring you a bit of sunshine! 🙂
You have captured these beautifully – even a drop on the end of a petal!
Thank you very much, Anne!
Pretty! There is a hint of autumn in the air here and my Helianthus are only just opening…
Thank you, Cathy. Yes, the nights have been cooler here, too. The solidago have begun, too, down the slippery slope we go! 😉
Ours are not quite ready to flower… but it will only be a week or so!
Delicate sunshine…
Thank you, Anita… they definitely are cheering us up these days. 🙂
Perfectly wonderful … with some looming drama in the background there. 😀
Thank you!
Wow, what a zingy yellow!
Hehe, yes, they are quite the pop of color in the fields now, right there with the goldenrod. Signs of the season’s change.
yes, fall has been in the air
Beautiful. Yellow is a welcome color this time of year.
Thank you, Judy. I like them as cut flowers, too. If taken early in the day and immersed immediately in water, they last well. Later in the day, the hydro intake creates wilting that is hard to overcome.
Love the water drop at the end of the petal ~ a delightfully bright and sunny flower pair!
Thank you, Barbara. Their sunny faces never fail to cheer!
So many different kinds of sunflowers…so many buds.
It is a huge genus, for sure. Many are confusing, too!
We’ve surely needed sunflowers this summer!
Yes, indeed. And since the critters ate all but one of my big sunflowers, I’m glad to have these as back up.
The yellow really pops
Thanks much, the fields are really lighting up with them!
thanks for sharing such a lovely photo~
Thank you kindly!
Beautifully captured. I see these often on my hikes and was never sure what they were. Thanks for the identification. 😊
Thank you, Irene. A wonderful native, the birds love their seeds. We have a couple meadows full of them. They can even hold their own against goldenrod!
Gorgeous, especially with that one drop clinging to the petal…
Holy cats! So bright and pretty.
🙂 Thanks, Laurie. Do you have these in your fields/meadows? The finches/chickadees love their seeds.
Not that I’ve noticed. I’ll be on the lookout.
What a pretty little thing — and I love the water drop on the petal!!
Thank you, Debbie. It was a very dewy morning!
Very nice Eliza! Enjoyed seeing your image!
Thank you, Reed!
Pure summer sunshine!
Yes, indeed, thanks, Kris!
What a heart warming colour
Thank you, Karina!
These are lovely – must be a wonderful sight to see masses of them flowering across the meadows.
Thank you, Carol. The do present a fine sight, esp. with goldfinches plucking seeds from the heads. Gold against gold!
Sounds wonderful!
Such a beautiful sunny flower Eliza 💛
Thank you kindly, Xenia!
Cheery little things, aren’t they? Lovely photos, Eliza!
Thank you, Tina! 🙂
Lovely bright yellow and I love that little hanger on water drop.
Thank you, Steve. 🙂
😎🤩♥️🥰🤩
Thank you, Susan. 🙂
These are lovely!
Thank you, Belinda!
Very nice
Thank you!
So bright and cheerful and beautiful. Love that one raindrop/dewdrop. ♥♥♥
Thank you, Robin! 🙂
Pretty! I can see dew dripping off a petal- lovely.
Thank you, Ju-Lyn!
The bright colour is like a lamp light almost. Beautiful!
Thank you, Maria! 🙂
Although I don’t think I’ve heard of Helianthis divaricatus, I see it’s widely found in the eastern half of the country, including on Long Island, where I grew up:

Yes, it is a great native, IMO.
