Beautiful ⭐️
Thank you, Karen! ❤
Would make a great postcard, Eliza.
Thank you, Sandy!
Welcome!
Peaceful & serene.
Thank you, Cindy. We enjoy our rural landscape very much. ❤
That looks cold yet beautiful.
Thank you, Anne. It was 5F (-15C) this morning…quite cold!
So peaceful. I meant to go out for sunset yesterday but fell asleep. 🙂
Thank you, Steve. Naps are a good winter pastime. 🙂 I’m loving the later sunsets and stronger light, yay. 🙂

This is such a gorgeous photo! The colors are luscious….. it looks like a luminous painting. Great work! (I might need a copy of this one! 🙂 )
Thanks much, glad to oblige. ❤
The beauty of winter does make one smile.
Yes, it is indeed the ‘consolation’ prize. 🙂
5º this morning… aren’t you glad you are there and not here, hehe!
Aaaah! So beautifully captured.
Thank you kindly, Hien!
So very, very lovely! My favorite time of day.
Thank you, Laurie! Winter light is indeed quite lovely. 🙂
Wow that’s nice
Thank you! xo
“Good-night, this part of Earth.” The conical evergreen silhouette is so pretty.
Thank you, Alice! 🙂
The golden sky is magical.
Thank you!
It amazes me to see the range of colors in your snowland: yellow, pink, blue, lavender all appear, and all are lovely. This seems a little unusual to me. It certainly is beautiful.
Thanks, Linda. Snow reflects light so one does get the full range of the rainbow. The glitter is what I love the most, a million tiny rainbows in sun- or even moonlight. Also due to the lower sun, esp. in early morning and late afternoon, shadows are blue and long, while the sun reflects orange off trees, etc. Winter has great beauty!
I well remember walking home from our ice-skating rink at a local park. In full moonlight, it would be nearly as bright as day.
Postcard pretty
Thanks much, Dee!
Very nice Eliza!
Thank you, Reed!
So lovely Eliza 🤍🕊🤍
Thank you, Val. ❤
A beautiful snowy sunset Eliza 🧡
Thank you, Xenia. xx
Peaceful glow…. 🧡💛🧡
Thank you, Donna. 🙂 The light in winter is special.
I love those luminous ice rimed tree limbs and that glow through the evergreen–such a pale winter sun–and the house is lovely too.
Thank you, Lisa. Classic New England, it is a lovely old house, all hand-hewn beams and walk-in fireplaces. The header photo is their barn.
Well, that’s a Christmas card, for sure! Beautiful photo. I also really like your banner shot–gorgeous!
Thank you, Tina. We’re having a ‘real’ winter this year!
Very mellow! Looks cold though. Is this looking back from your perennial flower patch?
Thank you, Allison. This is my neighbor’s farm up the road. I walk across my road, thru the woods and come out into this large field. I get a good dose of sunlight here in winter, much needed!
Light is really beautiful
Thank you, Ellen. I walked late that day, so the light was a bonus. I usually take my walks earlier when the sun is higher. I need lots of light in the winter!
Me too— I’m like a cat moving from sunny spot to sunny spot 😆
Exactly! 🙂
Beautiful light, Eliza!
Thank you, Dale!
🙂
Like a picture on a post card. Lovely.
MJ
Thank you, MJ… it’s a classic New England farmhouse over 200 years old. 🙂
Oh, that pale yellow sky is lovely, and if you hadn’t told me this is a sunset, I might have thought it was the beginning of a new day!
Thank you, Debbie! I’m not much of an early riser. 😉
Serene!
Yes, it is… one of my favorite winter walks. 🙂
Picture postcard pretty Eliza
Thank you, Karina!
SNOW!!! 😀
It wouldn’t feel like winter without it! 😉
Beautiful and peaceful!🙂
Thank you! I just came back from a walk through here and it is definitely that. 🙂
Beautiful soft sunset, almost as though the scene is backlit by an enormous artificial light globe.
Thank you, Vicki… now that is a visual for the mind to imagine!
Lovely!
Thank you, Belinda!
Looks beautiful, cold, and I see you have the ice as well 😉
Thank you, Frank. Seems ‘wintry mix’ is what we get these days between cold snaps. We’re supposed to have high temps above freezing this week, though. Time will tell. 🙂
Is this your place?
My neighbor’s farm up the road. My favorite winter walking route. 🙂
So peaceful and sparkly. Love the golden glow!
Thanks much, Barbara!
Really stunning Eliza 🙂
Thank you, Sylvia. ❤
Wow! Wonderful ! Beautiful shot! 👌😊
Many thanks, Priti!
It’s my pleasure 😊God bless you ❤❤
Are winter sunset colors ever bright enough to reflect off the snow?
Sometimes. Better when there are light clouds that act like giant lampshades diffusing orange light. Because we’re in the woods, sunrise and sets are filtered through trees.
Very pretty! I like the frosty feeling, subtle colors and wide view.
Thank you, Denise. This is the widest view we have, living mostly in woods. A winter favorite.
Wow, this is beautiful. How lucky to be able to walk by it!
-Julie
Thank you, Julie. My favorite walk in the winter. 🙂
Love that apricot color!
Thank you, Gary!
Cold and beautiful, like a postcard.
Thank you, Maria!
You’re welcome ❤
Just looks like home!! That means it pulls at the heartstrings. You have a wonderful eye for the touching photograph. Thank you!!
Thank you kindly! 🙂
This is so very beautiful, peaceful, such nice composition and subtle colours… I love it all.
Thank you very much, Agnes!
