What an exquisitely beautiful scene!
Thank you very much, Anne!
Gorgeous! This makes me want to go out and enjoy a gray day!
Thank you, Leah! Fog softens things so nicely.
Beautiful 💓
Thank you, Saania!
Great haunting scene.
Thank you, fog adds a bit of mystery to the landscape.
It looks very peaceful, those reflections and the tall trees are magnificent.
Thank you, Maria! ❤
❤
Gorgeous! Looks chilly.
Thank you, Dawn. Sometimes moisture makes it feel a bit warmer, it depends on temp and humidity. This day wasn’t too bad.
I’ve always loved the smells and colours of Fall in the Northern Hemisphere. We have a small hamlet in the southwest called Balingup that has an international tree park. I get my fix of autumn there!
November in New England. It’s all going to change in a few hours. Nicely captured, Eliza.
Thank you, Steve. Yes, the much anticipated first storm is upon us. Looking forward to the winter wonderland tomorrow. 😉
So pretty. So moody. So absolutely lovely.
Thank you very much, Cindy. x
I’m picturing that scene covered in snow tomorrow. 🙂
Yes, all will change once again. It will feel quite different!
Someone(s) must sit there, often, and enjoy the tranquility. Perfect spot for a picnic, or to read a book.
We call that overlook ‘the bluff’ and it is a stop we make several times a day as we walk the dog on our trail through the woods. I never tire of the view!
This looks like an impressionist painting….beautiful.
Thank you! ❤
I could have stood there all day, Eliza. Oh wow!! Gorgeous composition!!
Thank you, Amy! We have two chairs here and we often do sit there to enjoy the view. 🙂 One of the nicest spots on our land, we feel blessed.
I would have chairs out there too. Sighs ….
Beautifully ethereal Eliza.
Thank you very much, Andrea.
Very moody, and perfect portrait of the end of fall and beginning of winter.
Thank you. With the snow now falling, it does feel like the end of autumn.
Your silent Sunday image says autumn.
Thank you, Steve. Our first storm of the season is now changing it to ‘winter.’ 😉
Wonderful and wintry … I can feel the chill in the air!
Thank you, Denise. With our first snowstorm of the season upon us, I thought I’d post one last autumn scene before it changes to ‘winter.’ Happy December!
That’s exactly how I feel today. Just kind of waiting for winter to fall.
Yes, with this first storm the atmosphere is going to change radically. Hang in there, Frank!
Beautiful! What time of day?
Thank you, Ellen! It was dawn, a quiet start to the day.
So beautiful, Eliza. I want to stay a while and just enjoy the scene. 🙂
Thank you, Robin. You’re welcome any time. 🙂
Beautiful Image Eliza!
Many thanks, Reed!
I can feel the dampness. Very atmospheric.
Thank you, Sandy. Pea soup fog! 😉
Welcome, Eliza.
Brrr, damp and misty, ethereal is spot on.
Thank you, Amy. We’re now getting our first snowstorm. All will be different tomorrow!
Yikes.. enjoy the hush.
Thanks, I love that about snowstorms. 🙂
So do I..
Lovely image Eliza, love the soft Autumn light.
Thank you, Karen.
Beautiful!
Thank you very much!
Beautiful reflections. ❤️
Thank you, Irene!
Beautiful reflections and capture of the changing seasons and weather!🙂
Thank you, S!
So still 🙏🏻
Yes, a peaceful spot in all seasons. 🙂 Thanks, Karen.
Beautiful! It looks cold, though.
Thank you, Kris! For you, definitely cold. We adjust gradually. 40s sounds good when we’re facing 20s for the next couple of months. 😉 Right now it is dumping snow outside, well over a foot overnight and more coming. Winter has arrived ahead of schedule, sigh.
That looks chilly🙂
Not too bad, but it sure isn’t summer, that’s for sure. 😉 It’s snowing right now, a big storm that might give us 18″… instant winter!
Wow that is a lot of snow. Stay safe
Thank you, we stay close to home until it’s done. We ended up with close to 20″ of snow, a nor’easter that kept grabbing more ocean moisture and dumping it inland. Not our typical way of starting winter – with a bang!
Oh wow.🌨️
The total came to 18″ – a lot for a first storm. Another small dusting coming in on Friday. Hope this isn’t a trend! 😉
That picture beautifully captures late fall/early winter.
Thank you, Laurie. The look is definitely different today – on to winter!
Yup. Here comes the snow. Hoping to get some good pictures. Right now the yard looks a little pathetic.
“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!”
Gorgeous!
Thank you, Fi!
This is so painterly.
The light this time of year is nice, thanks much, Maria.
