Beautiful ⛄️❄️☃️
Thank you, Karen!
Nice location for Adirondacks
Thank you, it is a lovely spot to sit in the warmer months, very soothing listening to the water.
Beautiful but makes me shiver just looking at it! We’ve just got up and it’s freezing inside the cabin. Time to get a fire going!
MJ
Thank you, MJ. Brrr… we have a wood stove, too. Hard being the first one up in the morning. 😉
It is going down to 7F tonight… bitterly cold… the mild days are over, I guess.
Oh my goodness – how beautiful! You would rather be sunning yourself in the deck chairs I’m sure, but they look so lovely covered in snow. 🙂
Thank you, Joanne. It is especially lovely in summer, but more decorative in winter. 😉
I love snow and would happily sit there, but wouldn’t want to spoil it!
I know what you mean. I always hate to track down fresh snow which is so pristine, but the dog usually does it first. 😉
and that is lovely too!
Good shot. We used to get snow once
Thank you, Derrick. We don’t get as much as we used to. Many years it would accumulate to 30″ … last year it was never more than 8″.
Oh dear, cold!
Yes, no sitting out there until spring!
wonderful
Thank you, Nyakio!
I like this picture. Beautiful…
Thank you, Isabel!
Peacefulness.
Yes, I love this spot, probably my favorite on the property.
I LOVE this shot! It’s not only beautiful, but it brings the emotion of nostalgia for summer.
Thank you, lots of nostalgia these days! 🙂
I take it you didn’t feel inclined to sit down in one of those chairs and soak up some rays of sun.
No sun, and way too cold!
Yes, I was only kidding. Your wooden chair pair reminded me of the red ones in Canadian national parks:
https://theculturetrip.com/north-america/canada/articles/the-most-beautiful-red-chair-destinations-in-canadas-parks/
Summer memories, winter forgetfulness.
Yes 🙂 Thanks, Hien!
Your creek looks much more picturesque than the one that borders our property. Development upstream has altered the base flow and flood patterns so that floods are more dramatic and has undermined the roots of the trees lining the creek. Still a lot of wood ducks though.
You have a lovely view!
Thank you, Alicia. Sad that unchecked development has such a negative effect. It is unfair to wildlife and those around them.
I wish we had wood ducks, they are so pretty. We do see mergansers and mallards though.
What an appealing scene! I’d forgo sitting down just to avoid messing up the snow.
Thank you, Linda. It is too cold these days to sit anyway… one must keep moving to stay warm!
This shot reminds me of an old joke I read about why New Englanders leave picnic tables outside in the winter, and the answer was so we could measure the snowfall. 🙂 Happy Wednesday.
😀 Love that one! Pretty close to the truth.
lovely photo taken in a special location
Thank you, Karen. No sitting out there until next spring!
When it’s the dog days of summer and ridiculously humid at 9 a.m., I try to remember winter ( a day like your photo) and be grateful for the heat. And now, I can barely remember summer!
Same here, Ellen. Contrast enhances appreciation!
Beautiful brrrr. At 48 degrees people down here are wearing stocking caps.
Thank you, Amy. 48 is pretty cold for you!
A liittle brisk, I think hats and down jackets are a bit much
Very nice Eliza! The last few years we hardly got any snow here in NJ!
Thank you, Reed. Sadly, CC is definitely affecting everyone, whether they notice or not!
Enjoying the view while patiently waiting for the weather to change!
Yes, too cold to sit out these days!
Great photo Eliza. I love it when snow sits down to take in the view!
Thank you, Catherine. And such a lovely view, too. 🙂
I love snow pictures.
Yes, better a photo than shoveling it, right? 😉
Well yes…. I hate to report that we are in the 70’s today and I have a day of gardening planned. But on the other hand, I won’t be skiing.
That sounds wonderful to me… sigh. Catch a few rays for me, eh?
Oh, nice! Winter in New England.
Indeed 🙂 thanks, Laurie!
Oh, but your snow is so beautiful. 🙂
Yes, it can be quite lovely!
😎🙏
Thank you, Ashley.
Lovely photo. I love the stream running through the snow and the chairs reminiscent of summer filled with snow: the snowy landscape is divine. Eliza you live in a privileged place. Very affectionate greetings from Margarita.
Thank you, Margarita, I do feel fortunate to live here, it is a great blessing. ❤
Wow it looks beautiful Eliza! 💙 xxx
Thank you, Xenia! 🙂
Wonderful! Thick and fluffy snow, but what a great view you get from those seats.
Thank you, Allison. In the warm weather, this is always a rest stop on our walk. Relaxing and a great place to watch the birds.
The photo is wonderful but I had to laugh at the caption! We’re actually looking forward to some cooler temperatures (and no wind!) here.
Thank you, Kris. I’ll trade places any day! 😉
The first snows are the sweetest. Or is that kisses… lovely capture Eliza 💛
Thank you, Val. 🙂
Oh my goodness — all that snow! It’s beautiful to look at, but give me sunshine any day!
Thanks, Debbie. The gray days this time of year do get rather old. 😉
Gorgeous work. ❤
Thank you!
Welcome!!
SNOW!!! 😀
🙂
You obviously got more snow than we did, Eliza. Nothing stuck to the pavement and the next day most was gone from the grassy areas as well. Yours looks nice and fluffy. Your tree reminds me of this Hokusai painting. It’s a favorite of ours, hanging in our house, and when we were courting from afar, we sent Caspari cards daily to each other and itwas the one we sent most often.
Thanks, Steve. That is a nice print. Soothing to the eye.
Wonderful photo!🙂 Such a perfect spot to enjoy the peaceful scene with a glass of wine in the summer and hot cocoa in the winter.🙂
Thank you, great ideas both!
Such an exquisite scene and the caption is both amusing and somewhat poignant.
Thank you, Carol. I wrote that caption because when I see this pic, all I can think of is sitting there on a warm summer day. Contrasts!
And what a contrast!
Indeed! We can have over a 100ºF temp difference summer to winter.
That is incredible!
Two completely different sets of clothes and everything in between! 😀
Very beautiful Eliza, so peaceful and pure.
Thank you, Agnes, glad you liked it. It is a sweet soothing spot to set awhile.
That sounds wonderful Eliza.
There’s nothing like a fresh snowfall, so pretty. It’s the shovelling that bothers me 😏
Agreed! 🙂 Thanks, Belinda.
Lovely! I’m really wishing for a snowfall right now.
I’m sure it will come eventually… ours has melted, but a big storm is expected on Wed. that may bring 10″!
Such a beautiful scene, Eliza, is this in your garden? It must be wonderful to sit there on a sunny day, cup in hand and enjoy the peace and quiet. In which part of the world do you live?
Thanks, Annette– yes, our property abuts a small river along which we have walking trails with chairs and benches at scenic spots. This a summer favorite. I live in Massachusetts, US. (New England). Thanks for your visit!
A nice place to sit … all bundled up of course!
Too cold to sit for long these days, but good for dreaming!
It’s your’s chairs.
Yes, they are. A lovely place to sit in the warmer weather.
