Gorgeous! Peonies look so fresh and light. Very beautiful Eliza.
Thank you very much, Maria!
Thank you 🥰
Beautiful, Eliza. Wish I could catch their scent!
Thank you, Sandy. We need a scratch-n-sniff app! 🙂
Now that I could go for!
Reblogged this on Blue Dragon Journal and commented:
Gorgeous.
Thank you for reblogging, Eliza!
I miss the luscious perennials that grow further north than Florida. Subtropicals and tropicals are interesting, but I love perennials like peonies.
Cool season perennials are so exuberant after the long, cold winter. They offer their own reward.
Lovely. I’ve been failing to photograph some of those for a few days. Perhaps I should bring them inside 🙂
Thank you, Derrick. The season is so short, one must have at least one vase to enjoy inside!
🙂
Beautiful blooms, Eliza! The delicacy of their coloring goes well with their soft fragrance. They last better indoors than you might expect.
Thank you, Peter! I look forward to their blooming all year – their scent is legendary!
We’re so fortunate to live on a planet with some many different kinds of flowers. The Little Prince only had a rose.
So true… but perhaps that magical rose was enough. 😉
He loved it! I wonder where he got the water? Magic!
Gorgeous! Nothing like the voluptuous peony!
Indeed, definitely a highlight in my gardening year!
Even one of these blooms would be luxurious, but three…
Thank you, Susan. These were the first three to open. I now have several bushes in bloom. I throw my arms around them and inhale. So heavenly! 🙂
Decadence! The plant kind cannot be faulted 🙂
🙂
So pretty!
Thank you, Sheree!
Exquisite🌸💕
Thank you, Nathi!
You’re welcome, Eliza! And hope you’re doing well 🙂
Quite well, thank you!
Stunning blooms. Who needs a garden when I can enjoy yours!
😀 Thank you, Mary Jane.
Reblogged this on Purplerays.
Thank you for reblogging!
Beautiful Flowers Eliza!
Thank you, Reed!
Worthy of a painting – they definitely are!
Thank you, Anne. Such a classic flower!

IKR? 🙂
They look like they are little fairy ball growns.
They do! 🙂
Spectacular!
Thank you, Laurie!
So lovely…
Thank you, Julie!
What a treat for the eyes first thing in the morning!
Thank you, Dawn, glad you liked it!
You’re welcome, Eliza. I love them but don’t often find them here.
They need a cool winter, so maybe they can only grow in your mountains? Or be imported…
That would explain it! I do love them!
They are like the bearded iris, fleetingly beautiful.
All the more precious for it.
Indeed, thanks, Brian.
Lovely plus a great fragrance – win, win. 🙂
Yes, I love this flower so much!
So pretty Eliza! It’s such a shame they don’t last longer. Maybe that’s why we love them so.
Yes, it is their ephemeral nature that adds to why we love them so. That fragrance is so wonderful!
I can just smell them!
They are such a delight…one I look forward to all year!
I know what you mean. For me, one of those things is magnolia blossoms, which smell of citrus. I was visiting a friend on her patio early this week and that scent was all over the place from one in the yard.
One of nature’s great delights!
Thanks for sharing the love! 🙂
My pleasure! Thanks, Karen. x
I can almost smell them. They’re so beautiful. ❤
Thank you, Robin! 🙂
Mmm, gorgeous. I am breathing in very deeply and can almost smell them! 😉
🙂 Thanks, Cathy. They are a real treat to have next to me as I write.
the peonies are really very pretty flowers with extraordinary colors
The season is coming to an end now but your bouquet is very pretty
Merci!
The framing of these is just great!
Gracias!
I’ve often thought ‘peony’ to be such a tame word for such rambunctious flowers. 🙂
IKR? 😀
Had to look up ‘IKR’ 🙂 … but got there in the end. 😀
🙂
Love the images. Thanks for sharing
Thank you.
So beautiful. I love peonies. Their large ‘frothy’ collection of petals is so lovely and any flower lover couldn’t help being drawn to their blooms.
Thank you, Vicki. They are quite voluptuous and the fragrance sends me into raptures. 🙂
Ah, my grandmother’s favorite. can’t see one without thinking of her.
Nice! My mother had her own special plant next to the garage – we had to be very careful of it! 😉
Good lessons for children, I think.
I learned early that this was indeed a very special flower!
Really lovely! Peonies, one of the joys of summer. 😊
Thank you, Belinda! They really are wonderful. 🙂
Beautiful photography 🌿
Thank you!
That’s a lovely bouquet of doubles, Eliza. They must have a wonderful scent as the paler ones usually are more perfumed than the dark ones.
Thank you, Steve. I agree, the paler ones have the best scent. I’m really enjoying them this year!
Just gorgeous – How I wish I could smell it
Thanks, Luda. Peonies are such luscious flowers. 🙂
