Silent Sunday

Must be cold in Mass! Beautiful with the light on it.
Thank you, Lisa. The low this morning was 2 degrees. REALLY cold, but the hoarfrost is pretty!
Wow. I thought it was nippy here today and it was in the 40’s. Nice and sunny though…
Rain and 40s tomorrow with flooding because the ground is frozen (god no) and then dipping back down to freezing after the storm passes. It’s going to be a skating rink out there – argh! Welcome to New England! 😀
Stay safe!!! In the house if possible.
I plan to, thanks!
This is exquisitely beautiful!
Thank you, Anne! The temperature dropped like a rock overnight, with lovely results.
I wanted to make this image bigger so I can really see those ice crystals. Wow!! The lighting you caught perfectly, Eliza!! Mesmerizing!! xo
Thank you, Amy!
You are welcome!!
Winter garden beauty is exceptional here, Eliza. whew, those are some mighty cold temperatures–stay warm.
Thank you, Jet. Staying close to the wood stove until the temp goes up!
Gorgeous hoarfrost Eliza! 🤗💖 xxx
Thank you, Xenia!
Lovely – bet its cold
Thank you, Diana. Very cold!
Lovely. Looks like it’s cold where you are Eliza! We had a cold blast but it has turned milder today. 🙂
Thank you, Cathy. 3F today, 40s tomorrow with rain. Sounds like a recipe for slick surfaces. Best to stay inside tomorrow. 😉
That is a stunning photograph, Eliza! I think we only got about 5″ here, rainy, too. Last night it ‘only’ got down to 16°. Such a difference than where you are.
Thank you, Alice. It is cold out here in the sticks! 😉
Gorgeous! Your landscape is lovely at the moment.
Thank you, Andrea. There is something magical about hoarfrost. Faerie work!
Amazing photo, Eliza. I used to live in “ice storm” country, and despite the driving challenges, loved those mornings when the world was coated in glass. 🙂 Gorgeous.
Thank you, Diana. Hoarfrost is particularly lovely to see in the morning. Magical!
Very nice capture.
Thank you, David.
Exquisite, Eliza!
Thank you, Sandy!
You are most welcome, Eliza.
Frozen beauty!
Yes, thank you, Kris, it was quite frosty this morning!
Love this! 😊
Thank you, Irene!
Gorgeous, Eliza!
Thank you, Donna!
Mother Nature says THANK YOU for showcasing the small beauties of the season. 🙂 Gorgeous photo.
Thank you very much, Judy!
Beautiful image Eliza! Love the detail in the hoarfrost ice covering your subject!!
Thank you kindly, Reed, much appreciated!
Fine detail. Looks frosty.
Thank you, Belinda, it was pretty chilly this morning!
Great picture! Hoarfrost can be so pretty and you captured it beautifully.
Thank you very much!
Beautiful!🙂
Thank you, S!
Amazing, the snowflakes
Rather than falling out of the sky, these crystals ‘grow’ overnight from moisture in the air and clinging to the stems of plants, etc. Sometimes they can look like feathers or ferns. Nature amazes!
Thanks so much for clarifying that. Now I understand it the way it really is.
Absolutely gorgeous!! 😍😍
Thank you, Trini! 🙂
❤️❄️🧚🏼♀️❄️❤️
Frame this Eliza. Such perfection.
Aw, thanks so much for your kind compliment, Cindy! ❤
Glittering beauty, like a gem in the snow. I love these details Eliza.
Thank you, Maria!
It was a superb frosty day. Glad you got this, Eliza. Couldn’t make up my mind…rime or hoar. There was some fog around.
Thanks, Steve. It is so fleeting, one must act quickly!
That is soooo beautiful
Thank you, Christina. Happy December!
It is exquisite. Can almost fancy the crystals tinkling like tiny wind chimes 🙂
Thank you, Carol. They are quite ephemeral. The slightest breeze dislodges them or the first ray of sun melts them. One only has a short window to enjoy their art.
Their ephemeral fragility makes them even more precious and special.
Agreed, a special gift from Nature.
What a beauty! Looks like the fairies must have touched it.
Yes, it does, 🙂 thanks, Laurie!
Just absolutely beautiful !!
Thank you, Sylvia!
Magnificent, Eliza. Great that you capture these nature moments despite the frigid temps. Photo warrior! 🙂
Haha, photo warrior, love it. Thanks, Jane. 🙂
So pretty.
Thank you, Susie.
Crystal palace. 🙂
Yes, indeed. It felt that way walking around there.
Wonderful. I adore hoar frosts, but we rarely get them here. Great photo!
Thank you, Allison. Living near the river, we are apt to get hoarfrost more often, but is pretty limited to the immediate area. I’d love to see the frost fogs of trees in Scandinavia – those are spectacular!
Burr! But beautiful.
Thanks, Loree!
Thank you. Yes, all photos on my blog are mine unless otherwise noted.

Magical feeling! The cool blue background color works so well for this wintry close-up.
Thank you very much, Denise!
