This picture is perfect, Eliza!
Thank you, March!
What a lovely shot.
That bird looks a little like one of my Fairy-wrens.
Thank you, Vicki. I expect all the world’s wrens have that same perky look. They are pretty cute. 😉
So cute! Great capture. 💚💕
Thank you, Karen! 🙂
So sweet. You have a knack for capturing special garden moments!
Thank you very much, Peter! They keep me company while I garden. 🙂
‘Wren Real Estate’….I wonder who gnawed at the front entrance?
Being an older box moved from the woods, I suspect it was squirrels. I was hoping for bluebirds in the backyard, but wrens adopted it instead.
Lovely photo of a sassy little bird. Is it residing in the nesting box or just visiting?
Thank you, Carol. Yes, it has babies in the box. Ready to fledge any day.
So atmospheric!
Thank you, Steve!
Fantatstic, Eliza!
Thank you very much, Pete!
Wonderful – perfectly positioned with such a quizzical expression
Thank you, Derrick. He wasn’t happy with me being so close to his babies!
What a photograph! That perky little bird has so much character.
Thank you, Sandra. They are quite jaunty. Do you have House Wrens in the UK?
Great catch
Thank you, Penny!
Oh I love it!
Thank you!
Ahhhhh, how sweet
🙂 Thanks, Karina!
What a fabulous picture Eliza 😃
Thank you, Marie!
Very Nice Eliza!
Thank you, Reed!
Great photo!! 💕
Thank you, Pattyann!
Another (barkless) Wren! 😉
I’m not sure which is louder! 😀
I have a wren house that’s very special to me. It was designed by my grandfather and built by my father. He built one for each of us kids. This year it is housing wrens and I’ve learned to always look when they start to chatter as one day one of the neighbor’s cats was approaching fast! Kathy to the rescue ha ha ha. In all the years it has hung in the garden, it has been occupied only by wasps. This year, a parting gift.
Will you be able to take it with you? We only started having nesting wrens a few years ago after many years of only wasps, too. 😉
Oh my gosh, I didn’t even say what a great photo this is Eliza! Wren personality captured! And the cutest little house!
Thank you, Kathy! I thought it expressed the attitude well. 🙂
Awe, he is adorable. What a cute house he has.
Thanks, Maria. Wrens are so feisty!
What a quizzical look, so sweet.
Thank you, Christina. Probably wondering why I had that black thing pointed at it instead of my usual weeding the garden. 😉
Very cute … Now, if only I could see in to that hole.
Thank you, there’d be wide open beaks begging to be fed! 😉
So jaunty!
He is, wrens are that and more!
“Can’t talk right now. Im busy refurbishing.”
Hehe, the babies are keeping the parents super busy!
I love that expression !!
Thanks, Angela! 🙂
Sweet shot!
Thank you, Belinda!
I love it! The wren is definitely wondering what you’re up to!
Thank you, he wasn’t too pleased that I was hanging around. 😉
He looks as though he wants to have a conversation (or he’s just wondering when you’re going to put out some seed).
I think he is wondering when I’m going to leave so he can get on with feeding the young’uns!
A proud homeowner! 😀
Hehe, yes!
So cute.
Thank you, Irene.
The photograph is really nice. Keep it up.
Thank you very much. 🙂
Incoming! Feeding time :). Great capture Eliza and how rewarding it must be observing all the activity. Any guesses on how many babies are in the clutch?
I haven’t looked. Usually towards the end, they poke their heads out when the parents come. In the past, it’s been three or four.
What a fantastic shot! Such a happy little face!
Thank you, Sarah. The activity has been fun to watch.
We have a robin nest in one of my fuchsias – I get yelled at a LOT when tending to what parts of that hanging basket have not been killed off by the nest built on top of them. I’m working on getting some good pics (so far, I’ve just gotten some of the eggs – I think there’s a scheduled post with them coming up this weekend).
Cool – looking forward to it. 🙂
Wonderful capture!🙂 All the little birds seem to have a bit of attitude lately.🙂
Thanks! Lots of babies being fed from our bird feeders, with parents coming and going. We never refill them so often in winter.
How candid! Very nice!
Thank you, Maria!
Gorgeous, and heartwarming, too.
Thank you, Alys. 🙂
