Beautiful colors and shapes, Eliza. 🙂
Thank you, Jane. 🩷
WHAT a magnificent find!
Thanks, Anne, so glad you liked them. 🙂
What beautiful colours!
Thank you!
Beautiful photo, Eliza. One piece of autumn I always look forward to is seeing the mushrooms come out.
Thank you, Randall. They are so appealing for the photographer in shape, color and texture.
How cool! Great find, Eliza. 🙂
Thank you, Robin. These caught my eye, so pretty!
You’ve mentioned rain, and the tree bark looks wet. Is the shininess a result of rain, or are these one of the species of fungus that are naturally ‘drippy’?
They are naturally shiny, even without rain. 🙂
Lovely colors as captured
Thank you, Sanjay.
My pleasure
Mushrooms are always interesting in color, shape, and location.
Agreed, something compelling about them!
Magnificent mushroom medley!
🙂 Thank you, Donna!
Shelves for elves. Nice that there’s a view of the gills, too. It’s amazing that fungi just grow anywhere…out of nowhere.
Thanks, Alice. These are recycling a dead elm, this variety seems to have a fondness for them!
Very appealing … not for eating though 😊
No, I wouldn’t dare! 😀
Love the view of the undersides, that’s some attractive natural architecture.
Thank you, Barbara. They have an innate beauty!
Cool 😎
Thanks, Susan!
Very nice shot of these mushrooms. One question: do they eventually kill the tree?
Thanks, Hien. It is an elm and it is already dead. I’ve noticed them on other elms, also dead. They may be parasitic, but in this case, Dutch elm disease was the Grim Reaper.
Very cool. A natural tree fire escape??
🙂 Thanks, Sandy!
Sweet…a mushroom ladder!
Perfect for fairies! 🙂
A tower of mushrooms – impressive!
Thanks, Kris!
I really must get out to look for our grassland fungi before the frosts kick in properly. This is a lovely shot. Quite like our sulphur tufts but the black stem is different, and adds a nice bit of contrast.
Thank you, Adele. I’m not well versed in fungi, but I love the look of them. 🙂
What a beautiful fall photo, Eliza!
Thank you, Kim!
My pleasure! Mushrooms and fungi are in abundance here as well…
Love the detail you’ve captured of the mushrooms gills
Thanks much, Karina!
Very nice, Eliza! One of my favourite subjects.
Thanks, Belinda!
Presumably not edible?
I don’t think so… I only eat mushrooms from the store, or other knowledgeable source.
I love this Eliza!
Thank you, Sylvia!
Wonderful find and capture!🙂
Thank you, S!
Wow! Those will make an excellent ladder for any fairies you have in the area. 😉
Thanks, Alys!
These are probably edible, Late Fall Oysters ( Panellus serotinus) I believe, but usually the caps are somewhat bluish so I am not totally sure. Like you I don’t take chances plus I don’t forage as I prefer to leave nature as I find it. Nice choice of view, Eliza.
Thank you, Steve!
Those are cool!
Thank you, MB! 😎
Awesome man did I fall behind on blogs sorry.
No worries… thanks, Eunice!
GORGEOUS.
Thank you, Bela! 🙂
