Thanks, Isha! ❤
❤️❤️
Wow, I love the cup and plate, Eliza! ❤️🤗
Thank you, John. A gift from my DIL, she knows me well!
She has great taste. ❤️
Indeed!
Such a great image
Thank you!
A serene picture to wake up to! It conjures up a moment of peace, a break in the day, and a brief time of contemplation.
You read the photo precisely, Anne. I look forward to sitting down with my afternoon refresher. 🙂
I’m an inveterate tea drinker so appreciate the well chosen accessories—as pretty as a still life! Maybe a new possibility for your photos.
Thank you, Ellen. Perhaps it is. I did have the thought as I posted it that is not my normal nature-based posting. 🙂
Pingback: Silent Sunday – Tea Time | Purplerays
Very civilised – and pretty. I’m a tea bag in a mug kind of girl- but could imagine sitting in the garden with a tea pot cup and saucer and really savouring the tea moment!
Thanks, Caryl. 🙂 The cup was a gift and it has raised the bar of my tea time. 🙂 It becomes a special time of the day to sit back and savor all the good things and beauty of my surroundings.
I love black tea, but always have (soya) milk in it. What kind do you drink Eliza? Earl Grey? Darjeeling? 😉 And is your doily homemade? Have a lovely Sunday!
Thanks, Cathy! A wet day today, so it will be restful. I use honey only in my tea and you guessed right, Earl Grey is my favorite, but I switch to jasmine green in the summer.

The doily is vintage handwork, from a yard sale. 🙂
Tranquility… with nature images never far away…but: no cookie crumbs?
Thanks, yes, no sugar for this gal.
What a beautiful cup & saucer! I’ll be over shortly….;-)
Thanks. 🙂 Tea time is a lovely respite from the day.
There is nothing like a cup of hot tea. Do all gardeners have dishes with nature pictures on them?
Absolutely! 😉
If only it were coffee…
Not everyone’s cup of tea… 😀
Delightful! Wish I could join you.
You are welcome anytime! 🙂
If only we lived closer…
Love that teacup-n-saucer!!
Thank you, Tina. A cherished gift from my DIL.
I love a cup of tea mid afternoon. Your photo sets the scene 😊
Thank you, Belinda! It is good to pause. 🙂
Lovely 💖 I am into Indian teas these days, masala chai and cardamom chai 🤗
Hmmm, yes, chai is delicious!
Delightful. I do like a good cuppa too. 🤗💕
Thank you, Shelley. Good way to slow down and relax. 🙂
I love your charming tea cup and the unusually shaped saucer. Happy Sunday.
Thank you, Alys!
What a lovely tea cup, one of the most beautiful I have ever seen!
Very inviting, Eliza! Love the butterfly pattern.
Perfection!!🙂
Thank you! ☕️
A peaceful way to spend a morning. What kind of tea did you choose?
I love Earl Grey, but also enjoy Irish Breakfast. In summer, I go for Jasmine Green. How about you?
Earl Grey is my go-to tea but I sometimes drink a peach-flavored tea.
I like the cup and saucer. ☕️
Thank you, Jim. Elevates tea drinking to a whole new level. 😉
I know your tea tastes delicious in that beautiful cup.
It’s become a soothing ritual. 🙂
Your lovely photo made me smile…I do this once a month, get out my fine china, a pretty paper napkin and buy a treat to enjoy (Earl Grey shortbread cookies) while sipping a special tea and gazing at the view. I’ll have to post a tea time photo next month, Eliza!
A great ritual, but why only once a month? I need mine daily! 😉 I look forward to seeing your post.
I do it once a month because of the sweet factor (imagine eating those delicious cookies everyday!), I started this ritual when I lost my dear friend last summer, it gives me a chance to pause and remember…
🙏🏼 💕
Lovely!
Thank you, Rupali!
So inviting! What a pretty tea set. I would love to have a cup of tea with you.
Thank you, Barbara. You’d be welcome anytime!
Let’s hope the butterfly on the inside of the cup didn’t drown.
So far, it hasn’t moved! 😉
Simply looking at the beautiful china and anticipating sipping on the warm tea makes one feel better… ☕
Thank you, Tanja. I’ve come to love the ritual. 🙂
Beautiful. The Butterfly cup and saucer 🙂
Thanks, it’s become a lovely daily ritual. 🙂
Ooh lovely. Beautiful china. Now, where’s the cake?
Thanks, Jill. Sadly, no sweets for me, alas.
