Wow, you have a very Green Thumb, Eliza! ☺️
Thank you, John. 🙂
You are welcome! Have a great weekend, Eliza. 😊
How very pretty.
Thank you, Anne!
Beautiful. Are those snow drops in the back?
Thank you, Cindy. Yes, they are… I picked them before the last storm. Glad I did, as they are covered now. 🙂
Reblogged this on Anita Dawes and Jaye Marie.
That makes for a wonderfully cheery window sill, Eliza…
Thank you, J & A, and for reblogging! x
Most welcome, Eliza… 💕
Now, that’s my kind of view. 🙂
Thanks, Judy. Are you a windowsill flower lover, too? We spend a lot of time in the kitchen, they help brighten the day.
Oh, yes!
That’s so beautiful. I’m not a gardening person, nor was I into this thing before. But recently, sorta like suburbia’s and your regular email capturing beautiful moments on your garden makes me calm. Subconsciously I check my email daily wondering if there’s a new mail. I cannot say it enough, but your mail makes me happy. Thank you so much. 💓
Thanks so much, kind of you to say. It’s nice to hear from you, I hope you are well. 🙂
What pretty peachy and yellowy colors! Did you force the snowdrops (inside)?
Thanks, Alice. No, not forced. I have snowdrops planted close to the south-facing foundation, so they come early even when the yard is full of snow. 🙂
It’s a lovely collection. I recognize the snowdrops and orchids (?), but what are those pretty things on the left? Dahlia?
Thanks, Linda. Mini gerbera daisies. Aren’t they cute?
They are! I think I like them more than the larger ones, although the pleasing colors may be tempting me to favor them.
You know I do love this picture! Such luscious colors.
Thank you, kitchen flowers are a treat!
Wow, what a great color combo! A treat on a cloudy day.
Thanks, Ellen! Windowsill flowers brighten my days. 🙂
Beautiful windowsill flowers Eliza! Enjoyed seeing them!
Thank you, Reed!
So pretty, Eliza! I especially like how the colors complement each other.
Thank you, Laurie. All my ‘smalls’ go there. 🙂
You must be looking forward to the snow melt and the renew growth in your garden. We are finding Montreal to be truly black & white these days after having spent 3 months in the Southern Hemisphere…(Suzanne)
Yes, I’m ready for spring, though not tick season… they kind of take the joy out it, alas. You were fortunate to escape winter for 3 months!
How nice. My cat likes to eat my flowers, so I have to rely on looking out of the window.
Thanks much. Have you ever tried sowing wheatgrass for your cat to eat? I buy a handful of bulk wheat from the grocery store and sow flats of it for my cat and dog to eat. It sprouts quickly and I re-sow as needed, every 4-6 wks. It’s good for them, they love it.
I’ll have to look into that.
I love everything about this photo, Eliza. The flowers, the containers, the wood, the window. Just lovely.
Thank you so much, Dale. Crowded, yet cozy. 🙂
That’s why it’s so cozy and lovely!
😘
🤗
Delightful! 🌸🤗
Thank you, Susan! 🙂
I’d MUCH rather see these hopeful beauties than bucket-loads of snow, particularly in mid-March, Eliza — well captured!!
Thank you, Debbie! Flowers keep me smiling. 🙂
Your window is a happy place. Such nice colors.
Thank you, Sandy. Winter warmers… 😉
Pretty in pink this Friday. I love to keep a vase behind my kitchen sink. I thought that you had grown some pink sunflowers!
Thank you, Amy! Those are mini-gerberas, so cute. 🙂
I LOVE the color of the Gerberas! Their foliage mildews quickly here, although I’ve been told that those in the Garvinea series are tougher. I’ve yet to find them locally but I’m actively looking for them. Your entire vignette is lovely and a great prelude to spring.
Thank you, Kris! That is the extent of my ‘garden’ in winter (aside from the sunspace, of course, which is chilly– except when the sun shines in the afternoon).
Perfect window filler on a winter’s day, Eliza.
Thank you, Steve! Small joys amidst the gray. 🙂
What beauties
Thank you, Karina!
Stunning! Happy Friday.
Thank you, Alys! Happy St. Paddy’s Day!
Oh, I keep forgetting. Happy St. Paddy’s Day!
🙂 ☘️💚🌈
So pretty 😊
Thank you, Belinda. How I keep sane in winter! 😉
Pretty, pretty, pretty!
Thanks, Gary. These little joys get me through our long winters. But truth is, there are almost always flowers here to look at year round. Lots of little vases to fill. 🙂
Yes, Bridget has flowers throughout the house from the yard, a little patch here and there….of course much different climate….last fall I planted a few hundred bulbs in used plastic containers, just for picking. Daffodils and tulips have brightened up our moods so far.
Sounds lovely!
Fantastic !! so very pretty !!!
Thank you! 🙂
They are happy inside, away from that snow. 🙂 Love the soft colors!
Thank you, Donna. Yeah, we have a while to go before those windows open!
Beautiful windowsill and love the colorful flower on the left!!🙂
Thank you, S!
The name “Gerbera daisy” reminds me of Gerber’s baby food. When I looked up the origin of the genus name just now I found it honors Traugott Gerber, whose first name is German for True God.
What a lovely still life! It’s nice having a shelf under your window sill for flowers in the sunlight.
Thank you, Barbara! I love creating these little bouquets to cheer me through the day.
So pretty.
Thanks much!
Lovely. 😃 Indoor flowers are worth their weight in gold at this time of year, aren’t they. Hope your latest snow melts quickly!
Thank you, Cathy. They sure are and with 50ºF temps predicted this week, it’ll melt in good time.
Oh what beauties with color in common!
Thank you, Denise! My little winter ‘garden.’ 🙂
💓💓💓
Thanks, Bela! 🙂
Beautiful ❤🧡
Thanks, Suma!
Beautiful 🙂
Thanks, Deepa!
