How delightful to see such beauty at first light in my part of the world, along with a grey sky that promises a light shower later, Red-eyed Doves calling from the trees outside my window, and a chilly breeze reminding me that winter is around the corner 🙂
Thank you, Anne. Being in opposite hemispheres, we get to enjoy each other’s spring, as well as our own. Double delight!
A cheering spring slideshow Eliza.
Thank you, Brian!
Gorgeous!
Thank you, Sheree!
Pleasure
A glorious slideshow, Eliza!
Thank you very much, Anita!
Beautiful spring flowers Eliza.
Thank you!
I love the primula and muscari mixes!
Thank you, Chris. I was inspired to add the Muscari last fall amongst the Primroses and it has been a winning combination. 🙂
Beautiful!
Thank you, Judy!
So colorful. Beautiful! I must have a green thumb.
Thank you!
You’ve created such beautiful areas. The Epimedium aka ‘fairy wings’ is a pretty and interesting plant.
Thank you, Alice. I love walking around my yard this time of year, so many delights!
So much spring beauty! The last one is my favorite. Love that color combination.
Thank you, Laurie! Narcissus ‘Salome’ is a great performer, so reliable and lasts well in a vase. 🙂
What a glorious spring garden you have! I adore those peach centered daffodils!
Thank you, Catherine. I think those are ‘Salome’ which I bought decades ago and still come back solidly every year.
they are LOVELY!
Thank you!
Beautiful!!!
Thank you! 🙂
Spring!
Yes! Here at last! 🙂
Great color combos! I’ve never seen yellow epimedium.
Thank you, Ellen. Epimedium versicolor ‘Sulpureum’ has been a peak performer in my garden for years. Highly recommended!
Oh-so beautiful, Eliza! These are a delight!!
Thank you, Donna! 🙂
Such a contrast to your winter pics! What a cheering sight on what is turning into a coolish evening here. It must be so rewarding to see your garden come into its own after months of dormancy.
Thank you, Carole. It truly is wonderful to witness spring’s unfolding, a delight for all the senses!
What a lovely garden!
Thank you, Michele!
Soooo much beauty, Eliza — thanks for sharing your garden with us!
Thank you kindly, Debbie!
Beautiful, Eliza!
Thank you, Peter!
Has grape hyacinth always been popular? I do not remember seeing much last year, . . . or ever. Now, suddenly, it seems to be as popular as snowdrops were last year.
Always been popular here – so reliable and they increase from year to year.
Well, yes; that had been part of the problem. They can get a bit too prolific and invasive. The common sort of grape hyacinth was popular here in the 1970s, but then became regarded as a weed. It was unpopular for a while, but modern cultivars are becoming available.
Lots going on, Eliza….and all so lovely!
Thank you, Sandy. Now that things are growing, it is tough to choose which to feature. 😉
A good dilemma!
Indeed!
What a beautiful mix of spring flowers Eliza!
Thank you kindly, Xenia!
Beautiful spring colors and I love the photo of the yellow flowers!
Thank you very much, S!
Aaah, Spring. 😃🌷😎 Beautiful! A very pretty Epimedium.
Thank you, Cathy! 🙂
Looking lovely Eliza. Lots of colour
Thank you, Karina!
Spring! Nothing says it better than a pretty combination of blue and yellow flowers.
Thank you, Kris. One of my favorite combinations. 🙂
What are the yellow flowers just before the white and apricot? (I’m learning how little I know about garden flowers!)
Epimedium versicolor ‘Sulphureum’ common name Barrenwort. It is a great perennial for dry shade.
Five beautiful pictures. The epimediums caught my eye. I don’t think I have seen that form before.
Thank you, Susan. That was my first Epimedium I ever bought and it has been spreading well ever since, I love it.
So much beauty and your garden is just getting started. 🙂
Thank you, Steve…I love it when the season is ahead of us.
What a delight! I love to see what’s blooming in your garden 😊.
Thank you, Belinda, much appreciated. I hope to post more this year than I did last. We’ll see if I can do it! 😉
Oh Eliza, I am so thrilled for you to have your spring garden return! Your flowers are delightful with so much color, and teeming with life and vibrancy. And I found that stone wall in the third photo absolutely stunning. Happy spring to you, my friend.
Thank you, Jet. Spring is a happy time around here.
I’m glad you like our flat-stone wall. I’m so glad we put it in 25 years ago (and bartered the labor) because it would be beyond our budget now. Built to last, it will survive us, I’m sure.
You have such a lovely garden, Eliza. 😊❤️
Thank you, Irene!
Such lovely spring flowers in your garden, Eliza. Those gorgeous little blue flowers look like Grape Hyacinth to me. 🙂
Thank you, Vicki. Yes, you have that correct. Grape hyacinths (Muscari) they are.
Your garden is so beautiful, Eliza. 🙂 It’s also a little like stepping back in time. We’re well beyond all of that here, now.
Thank you, Robin. Being a northernmost gardener, I get that comment a lot. 😉 I like to think of it as an extension of the seasons.
Omg!!
🙂 Thanks, Bela!
I don’t get jealous, but I am a bit envious of all that color this time of year! 7500 feet elevation means we tentatively plant right now, but we can really do that in two weeks. Big change from sea level, whether Maine or Hawaii! 💙
I can imagine it is. You need a greenhouse to ‘cheat’ the seasons a wee bit.
It’s in the works! Once were done remodeling the porch into a living room. 😉
You have a beautiful garden, Eliza. Thank you for sharing it. ❤
Many thanks, Carol!
💚💚💚
Thanks, Karen!
A beautiful garden Eliza!
Thank you very much, Andrea!
Gorgeous as always !
Thank you, Harold!
All of your flowers are absolutely Beautiful!
Thank you, Ruby!

Beautiful Eliza! Brightened my Day!
Thank you, Reed!
An astounding show of beauty. So lovely to see your garden. A special place.
Thank you very much. 🙂
Love the color combo of the grape hyacinth and orange flowers together!
Thank you, Denise!
I just feel like walking through your lovely (and interesting) garden is like walking through Wonderland (even virtually). Thank you.
What a kind comment– thank you so much, Nailah. If you ever come out East, you are welcome to tour the gardens in person! ❤
Now, I might have to take you up on that, Eliza! Where are you?
Western Massachusetts – the prettiest part, IMO! 😉
Oh, cool…and, yes, it seems like the prettiest part…probably largely because of you!
Ha, you flatterer! 😉
My! Taking a stroll through this gloriously poetic garden of yours, is a bucket list thing for me!
If you ever come to New England, you must visit! 🙂
🤗
Just magical!. ❤
Thank you, Joanne!
Absolutely beautiful 🌹💖
Thank you!
