So shimmery and pretty!
Thank you, Sandy. One of the pluses of winter! 🙂
Yes!
Beautiful😍
Thank you, Vaishnavi!
Glad you have beautiful snow! Unfortunately, we’re in our rainy time and stinkhorns are popping up as usual.

Thank you, Jerome!
There it is! The kind of glitter I was thinking of when I wrote about snow. It’s beautiful.
Thank you, Linda. I love snow glitter in sunlight or moonlight, which is esp. magical. Like stars come to earth.
Beautiful capture 👏💕
Thank you, Karen! x
What a beautiful sight for me!
Thank you, Anne. Glad you liked it!
looks romantic, not cold 😉
Thank you!
What a super shot, Eliza!
Thank you, Sue! I love when the sun glints off the crystals in a rainbow of colors – so magical.
So hard to cach on camera, though 🙂
True, the camera doesn’t always see what the eye does.
And yet, at other times, it highlights what we might have missed… 🙂
I’ve seen that in some of your shots… love the mysteries!
Either way, there is always somthing to discover 🙂
How lovely!
Thank you!
I can see the sparkles, even in monochrome!
Thank you, Anita. When the sun angle is just right, the effect is prismatic – so beautiful!
Tho photo speaks to me in two ways.
First, it is all about whiteness, purity and rejuvenation.
Second, it is all about starkness and survival.
Wonderful impressions! thanks much, Shakti.
Wonderful lines
Thank you, Derrick.
Hi Eliza. Wow that is beautiful. I know it must be cold, but it is more scenic than mud, which is what we have right now!
MJ
Thank you, MJ. Yes, much nicer than mud, but we will have that in spades in March. The fifth season in New England is Mud Season. 😉
I love seeing the snow photos.
We have quite a bit of it out there right now and I read that another storm is shaping up for the weekend. It is winter!
I’ll be looking forward to more pictures.
🙂
Gorgeous and refreshing. Thank you
Thank you, Flower.
A diamond powder wonderland.
Yes, it is… so pretty.
Magical! Winter wonderland for sure.
Thank you, Laurie. 🙂
God’s glitter. Love it.
Thank you, Vicki!
Glitter outside is soo much better than glitter inside (which always sticks to everything and you end up finding it long afterwards!!)
Yes, and the snow kind is biodegradable. 😉
Looks like frosting sugar!
Hi Liv! Yes, it certainly does. So pretty.
Nice. Waves man
🙂 Thanks, nature’s sculpted beauty.
It is a lovely effect. I also like the snow drifts sculpted by the wind.
Thank you, Belinda. I often stop to just admire the effect, it’s so pretty.
I love the sparkle of snow! Very nice snow waves, Eliza.
Thank you, Donna!
Charming and magical!
Thanks, Kris!
Heh, heh, heh … here be snow-dragons. 😀
🙂 I think you may be right!
Sunshine and fresh snow! Very pretty. 😊
Thank you, Irene!
Oh, that moonlight on snow with the sparkles! So wonderful and arresting when I see it.
Thank you, Lisa. That pristine kind of beauty often stops us in our tracks. 🙂
Fairy dust! 😉
Yes, indeed! 🙂
Clever! I never seem to manage to capture sparkle. Well done
Thank you, Allison. I got lucky that day. 🙂
Very nice capture of the sparkles, Eliza.
Thank you, Steve.
I took about 50 photos trying to capture these snow diamonds and finally gave up and turned my attention to the leaves and the shadows on the snow. This is the image I really wanted! A beautiful capture Eliza.
Thank you, Sylvia! I got lucky that day because I’ve tried and missed plenty of times before, too. 🙂
So sparkly and pretty. Love your composition in this scene, Eliza.
Thank you very much, Jane. I am so glad I was able to capture that magical glitter!
LOVE this photo and your beautiful capture is almost enough for me to wish for a snowstorm!!
🙂 Thanks much!
Not all that glitters is gold—snow, for example.
🙂 Yes, indeed!
Wonder Snow.
Yes! Thanks for your visit.
Beautiful. Love the capture of the light in the snow.
Thank you, Vicki. Hope you are doing well… how was your surgery?
Good, thankyou for asking, Eliza. But it’s taking me a long time to recover (partly because its reignited old ortho. injuries and spinal pain). Have been very busy with medical appointments at a new Brain, Spine and Pain clinic to see if they can offer any suggestions I haven’t already tried over the last 40 years).
I was an easy patient in hospital as I’m so used to be in pain and debilitated – others with hip and knee replacements seemed to have more difficulty & complained more.
My very favorite thing about snow is the sparkle, and your photo is exquisite for capturing the sparkles, Eliza. Not an easy thing to capture. I like the bare branches, too, give it context. I hope you’re staying warm after such a whopper of a storm.
Thank you, Jet. It was a big storm, but luckily, it remained below freezing, which made moving snow much easier. (Heavy snow is awful!) Snowshoeing has been great. The temps have returned to more ‘normal’ 20/30s, single digits weren’t much fun. 😉
Beautifully captured Eliza.
Thank you very much, Carol!
a very simple image but nevertheless magnificent
Merci!
A lovely photo Eliza, it looks like a lovely cozy glittery blanket, although I would feel pretty cold snuggled up in it I think.
Thank you, Alison. Yes, it would be a rather chilly blanket!
Shadows of beauty…
🙂 Thanks, Stormie.
