natural beauty is so magnificente
Agreed– thanks, Luda!
Beautiful! Love the rich colour! 🙂
Thank you!
And there are ants … even they are keeping to a social distance of one petal apart!
🙂 Yes! I barely saw it, though in editing I thought I’d highlight it. It even had collected a bit of pollen on each leg.
These are crocuses? They are opening in the sun must be. Love that rich blue!
Yes, I was waiting for the sun to open them in order to take photos, but then of course, I had to create a shadow to reduce the glare. Tricky flowers!
So cheerful these are, Eliza!
Thank you, Sandy!

Thank you for reblogging!
Gorgeous Eliza! Such a delight to see! ❤
Thank you, Julie. A happy sight, for sure!
Now I need to know what an 🐜 does with pollen. Lovely capture!
I expect they eat it, said to be high in protein. 🙂
Utterly beautiful! The handful that surprised me by blooming here are already ancient history.
Thank you, Kris! I’m thrilled to see them starting to bloom here – spring has begun, hurrah!
Beautiful ❤
Thank you, MB!
This is lovely. So good to see these beautiful flowers and to know spring hasn’t forgotten about us in this difficult time… (Suzanne)
Thank you, Suzanne. My garden is a lifeline right now. Thank God it is Spring!
Our crocuses are long gone, thanks for the encore performance, Eliza. Yours are beautiful and I love the ant. You may have know it was there when you snapped the photo, but I often discover insects in my photos only later when reviewing them on my computer. One of my photographer friends likes to call them “bonus bugs.”
It was definitely a bonus bug! If not a bee, an ant will do. Thanks, Mike.
Glorious colour, Eliza!
Thank you, Steve!
My pleasure, Eliza.
Glad to see the garden waking up with some color! Things will be bursting all over soon 🙂
Yes, what a relief and just in time! Thanks, Frank!
Delightful. The ant is an added bonus. 😏
Thank you, Belinda. Life begins once again!
Beautiful! Even got the littles ants in there. 😊
Yes, they were a bonus! 🙂 Thanks, Irene.
Enjoyed the lovely color and photos, a squirrel enjoyed mine the other day!🙂
Oh, the little devil!
That colour is just gorgeous, Eliza. You must be enjoying the new Spring growth on your side of the world at the moment. I’ll bet you’re glad you live in a rural environment so you can still get outdoors for walks 🙂
I just found your comment, WP hasn’t been putting them in my drop down, it seems. Sorry for the delay – thank you for your visit, Vicki, and yes, I am thrilled that I get to get outside into the spring air during this pandemic!
Beautiful and refreshing! Thanks for sharing this Eliza!
Thank you, Nathi!
You’re welcome Eliza! And have a wonderful week ahead!
Gorgeous! Happy Spring!
Thank you, Cathy!
Crocuses are my favourite Spring starters and this colour is the best!
Thank you, Allison. That deep color is so lovely!
Beautiful spring. Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you, Maria!
Still life with flower and ant? I suppose that technically, an ant can’t be part of a still life. Can it? Oh, who cares? 😉
🙂
Sigh …. Gorgeous, Eliza!! xo
🙂 Thanks so much, Amy!
You are so welcome! xo
A very welcome sign of Spring!!! A couple of ours have flowered too. In case you are interested, here’s the flower shows we missed at Smith and Mount Holyoke. 🙂
Thank you, Steve. I hadn’t seen the MHC video, much appreciated!
When I watched this the first time I could swear that MHC was on the end. But it appears just to be Smith. Sorry.
Yes, I discovered that once I looked at it. It was such a shame that after all that work and expense, it was cancelled. Rotten luck!
Positively lovely photos, Eliza. I like seeing the ant enjoying life too.
Thank you, Jet. It seems the smallest of things often contain the most joy. ❤
They’re almost iridescent!!! … love the ant close-up. 🙂
Thank you – I liked seeing his little pollen sacs – I didn’t know ants did that!
Me either. I thought it was only the bee-people. 🙂
Stunning!
Thank you, Phao!
How exquisite in colour and form Eliza, and too as signs of spring.
Thank you, Carol. I’m enjoying seeing the spring bulbs bloom once again.
Pretty, very pretty
Thank you, Karina 🙂
Oh my. So beautiful, Eliza. I love crocuses. Their season seems to go by so quickly.
Thank you, Robin. Yes, I agree, it seems that everything accelerates once the days turn warmer. At first, you can keep up, but then it all sprints ahead!
A true pick-me-upper! Gorgeous photos and color. ❤
Thank you, Carol!
Beautiful color, Eliza!
Thank you, Donna!
Stunning!
Thank you very much!
So pretty!

Just gorgeous. Hope all is well with you. Stay safe.
Thank you, Susie. My best to you as well.
What beautiful flowers and the little ant is a hidden bonus!
Thank you, Andrea. That little ant makes me smile!
Hey Friend, I am on your blog, beautiful! KE
Thank you!
Beautiful!
Thank you, Lily!
You’re welcome 🙂
Pretty purple petals! I love that first composition! The flowers really pop out of the woodsy background!
Thank you, Denise! I’m really enjoying the blooms as they emerge this year more than ever.
Great color and light!
Thank you so much, Maria!
