Beautiful! A classic New England scene?
Yes, it is a classic, wonderfully restored several years ago. Thanks, Audrey!
Stunning colors. Great composition.
Thank you, Paulie. This barn is a great one, iconic New England.
Lovely.
Thank you, Cindy! x
The colours and textures are just lovely! Beautiful pic, Eliza.
Thank you, Dawn! 🙂
You’re welcome!
Love this!
Merci, Louise!
ANOTHER GREAT POST ELIZA, CHINA
Thank you, China, and for reblogging!
Reblogged this on LIVING THE DREAM.
We have some wonderful old barns. One of my favorites is Clesson Valley.
Thank you, Steve. That’s a great one, too. Do you know Gray’s in Ashfield? Huge!
Not by the name and can’t think of a huge barn in Ashfield. With all this rain planning on looking for cascades out that way so maybe I’ll come across it.

Thanks, Eliza. I’ve been up Baptist Corner Road but not Barnes. The barn on Barnes Road. On the to do list. 🙂
Worth the trip!
Picture perfect. 🙂
Thank you!
What a wonderful peaceful building.
Thank you, Karina. Located at the turn in the road, it is a delight every time we go by.
I LOVE this!
Thank you, Catherine! A lovely restoration in a beautiful setting, it’s a delight every time we see it.
I can almost smell the warm 🐮🐮🐮🐮 & hay. Beautiful photo! The cupola is making a nice shadow.
Thank you, Alice. Glad you noticed the shadow, it loomed so large compared to the cupola.
You have certainly caught the natural autumn light and colours in this lovely image Eliza! I realy like the weathering on the building’s timbers.
Thank you, Pete! It is an iconic New England barn, one of the prettiest in our area in a lovely hillside setting.
Beautiful, Eliza.
Thank you, Judy!
Love the rocks!
Thanks, Chris! In New England one must get creative with the endless stones that the frost keeps pushing out of the ground. 😉
Classic New England. Simple and lovely.
Indeed it is… thank you, Laurie. 🙂
Great Autumn colour, the wood on the barn blends in beautifully
Thank you, Phao. It is a lovely one, for sure.
Lovely autumn scene.
Thank you, Irene.
You are so welcome, Eliza. Hope you have a great week. 😊
Same to you!
Everything about this scene is beautiful. It would make a lovely painting, I think.
Thank you, Anne. I expect it is often photographed and painted, as it is one of the loveliest in our area.
Wonderful photo, Eliza. A scene to remember as the season moves along😏
Thank you, Belinda. This barn is prominently visible along the road we take to the ‘big city.’ It is beautiful in all seasons. During a time when we are losing many of our old barns, this restored one is a treasure.
I can well imagine.
Beautiful Eliza!!! You have captured the essence of New England.
Thank you, Cindy! With its setting, it is one of the best in our area.
Now that is a gorgeous old barn. And your colors!!! We’ve started getting them too, and it’s really lovely.
Thank you, Lisa. The foliage this year has been wonderful, best in years.
A beautiful capture Eliza 🍁🙏🍁
Thank you, Val. ❤
I absolutely love old barns! So beautiful Eliza! Thank you for sharing this charming, fall, country scene.
Thank you, Maria! ❤
❤
Perfectly executed New England autumnal photo! Beautiful.
Thank you, Amy! 🙂
What a beautiful autumn scene, the barn is gorgeous and reminds me of lovely road trips taken through the countryside of Ontario, Canada!
Thank you! Rural barns are a lovely sight, I’ve always loved them.
Beautiful image Eliza!! Great Fall Photo!!
Many thanks, Reed!
Love the old barn !
Thank you, Harold!
Very pretty.
Thank you, John.
Beautiful picture!
Thank you, Bernice!
Such a beautiful scene. I like that it’s a view you could have seen 100 years ago.
Thank you, Kris.
Similar, but with no trees at all. Old photos show settlers clear-cut pretty much all of the Northeast, except for the very steep ridges. What a disaster that must have been ecologically. SO glad the forest grew back! We’re richer for it.
i know that barn
It’s a beauty! 🙂
No words needed. Gorgeous, Eliza.
Thank you very much, Jane!
What a beautiful barn and scene! I visited New England in the fall several times. The countryside and buildings are special for sure.
Thank you, Denise. I love these old barns. Not enough are being saved, sadly. But this one is superb!
Wow – so lovely!
Thank you, Fi!
THAT’S HOW WE DO IT IN NEW ENGLAND
🙂 Thanks, Gianmarco!
Stunning composition, Eliza. It pulls you right in! Brava!
Thank you, Amy! 🙂
So welcome, Eliza!

Thank you, Allison!
Oh I love this so very much.
Thank you, Sylvia, so glad you do. ❤
The perfect autumn scene and photo! Love old barns!🙂

Just gorgeous!
Thank you, Andrea!

Very nice, and keeping that weathered look is so essential for restoration.
Thank you, Maria. Barns here are often left to weather naturally, but sometimes they are painted the classic barn-red, or yellow or white.
How idyllic is this scene! Simply beautiful, Eliza! I sure have enjoyed catching up on all your posts this morning that I’ve missed lately. What a lovely little journey! Thank you! ❤
Thanks, so glad to see you here again. 🙂 Much appreciated!
