Silent Sunday

Such a lovely shade of pink. Mine did not come up this year. To much rain maybe.
Oh, that is a tragedy, Sandra. Peonies are among my favorite flowers, the blooms to which I look forward every spring.
As do I, I think our neighbor mowed them down when we were gone last week. But they will come back.
You seem much more calm than I would have been. I don’t think I’d have been all that understanding!
I know, they are new neighbors, don’t know them well enough yet.
Time to set the boundaries, lol!
I here that, and I don’t think they care to much about flowers. I will have to put a fence around it. Next project.
Superb peony! That pale pink is much better than other colors.
Thank you, Hien. The scent is especially wonderful, too. 🙂
That would make it perfect!
Yes, indeed!
Lovely, Eliza. Wishing you a peaceful Sunday. ❤
Thank you, Julie, same back to you. 🙂
Happy Sunday!
Such a pretty pink 💕
Thank you!
My pleasure 💕
beautiful hue . Such a joy it brings.
Indeed. Thanks, Indira!
Pretty in pink! Mine is just a shade darker, it’s my wallpaper on my iPad.
Thank you, Alice! I have white, light and dark pink. Some day I need to get a coral one – I love those!
Such delicate beauty.
Thank you, Cindy. Peonies are so awesome!
Lovely bloom, Eliza! Hoping we don’t get more torrential rains, which ruined my peonies towards their end. All plants dead-headed and green now!
Thank you, Peter! You are weeks ahead of us even though not so far away. I’m trying to savor mine while they are here. 😉
And, a beautiful Sunday it is with this gorgeous peony on view for all of us to admire. 🙂
Thank you, Judy!
Gorgeous, Eliza. Inviting like a soft pillow. 🙂
Thank you, Jane. Oooh, a peony pillow, how wonderful a sleep that would be! 🙂
It’s a beauty! Ours have been drummed to the ground by recent rains, so this is a lovely treat.
Thank you, Allison! I remembered this year to stake mine as they were starting to bud. It is heartbreaking to see them pushed down by rain.
So fresh and pretty Eliza.
Thank you, Alison!
I love that gentle pink!
Thank you, Belinda!
How beautiful! The peony buds are just starting to swell here…I can’t wait! One of the most glorious moments of summer. 🙂
Agreed! Thank you, Joanna. 🙂
What a beauty. And I bet it smells divine too! 🙂 Happy peony season Eliza!
Thank you, Cathy. I only wish they’d bloom a little longer. I love them so!
Wowsah! What a beauty!
🙂 Thanks, Laurie!
*SIGH* I was hopeful that one if possibly both of my peonies would be prompted to bloom by all that rain we got this past winter but it was not to be. I’m not prepared to dig either plant up yet, however.
Hope springs eternal! They can be fussy even here.
I can almost smell it:-)
There’s gotta be an app for that. 😉
:-))
Just beautiful!
Thank you, Dawn!
You’re welcome. I look out for your Sunday posts!
🙂 Thanks, so glad to know that!
Beautiful. I love that pale shade of pink. It seems like it’s been a long time since our peonies were blooming.
Thank you, Robin. They go by way too fast. I guess that helps make them all the more special when they do bloom.
Simply beautiful! I’d love to have peonies here, but I don’t think we’ve room for any more plants!
Thanks, Val! I know the feeling. While I have lots of space, I’m limited by what I can maintain. I’ve had to cut back more with each passing year and must show great resolve when visiting nurseries. Not so easy! 😉
my favorite flower, cool how they need ants to help them open right? they eat the sugars.
Its really beautiful and the pale pink color attracts me…
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Athira!
