Snowdrops are so delicate and pretty!
Thank you, Sandy, that they are. And esp. cherished as they are the first bloom of spring.
Lovely. Are your snowdrops only coming now? Ours feel long gone already.
Yes, this is a photo I just took. We are WAY behind you – the gift the Gulf Stream has on your weather. 🙂
Indeed. But if i remember from last summer you caught up with us by June:-) It had been an early spring, but we have had, and are currently having a cold spell which have slowed things down a little. Though not a bad thing!!
Hardy and lovely plants. I will have to remember to plant them this year.
Thanks, Hien. They are super easy and self-sow readily. I’ve started planting them in naturalized drifts around the yard. One never tires of these harbingers of spring!
So pretty! Our crocuses (croci?) came out this weekend. It was a welcome sight after this winter!
Thank you, Sarah. We really need these little bulbs by the time they make their appearance – winter-starved we are!
Yeah! Spring is here.!!
At long last! 🙂
So lovely. They are long gone here.
Thank you, Liz. Feels like we’ve been waiting forever for them to show up!
Beautiful! You will be catching us up very soon I think!
Thank you, Cathy. I certainly hope so!
So very, very adorable, these snow drops. Spring has finally arrived, Eliza, oh thank heaven.
Thank you, Jet. My relief that winter is over knows no bounds!
Delicate, but survive some chilly nights and even some snow. I got a few good photos a few days ago.
Their appearance makes my heart sing!
Yay!
You can say that again! 😉
Your snowdrops are beautiful Eliza and the view of your country lane! It looks like you live in lovely New England.
Thank you, Cindy. I do live in a quintessential, little New England town!
They are a delight to see!
Indeed they are 🙂 Thanks, Peter!
More like speechless, Eliza! Glad to hear and see spring has arrived.
At long last! Thanks much. 🙂
Those are really pretty!
Thank you very much!
They’re such perfect little blooms.
That they are, thank you, Kris. They never fail to bring me great joy at winter’s end.
Gorgeous picture, Eliza! ❤
Thank you, Judie!
Spring is here! Very beautiful 🙂
Thank you, Maria!
So lovely! 😍😍
Thank you, Trini!
It’s nice to see such a good photo that shows those delightful green bits on the flowers.
Thank you, Audrey. Much appreciated!
That’s a superb shot… they are so hard to photograph clearly enough to do them justice.
Thank you very much, Sue. 🙂
Very pretty! It’s so nice to see the early bulbs starting to bloom.
Thanks, Indie! Yes, indeed it is, the long winter’s wait is over at last.
YAY!!! Spring! The trees are tapped. The snowdrops are in bloom. Happy for you Eliza!
Thank you, Kathy! It’s good to see the backside of winter. 🙂
These are lovely! They almost look like they are looking right back at you. 😊
Thank you, Irene. That’s a lovely thought!
So nice to see!
Yes, they are 🙂 Thanks, Belinda!
Fabulous!
Thank you, Fi!
The post may be wordless, but my comment is ‘beautiful.’ 🙂
Thank you, Judy. Seeing these makes me so happy!
Little snowdrops! 😀
🙂 ❤
Beautifully captured, and I love the green markings on the white flowers. I hope that indeed this is the beginning of a lovely spring as the days lengthen and summer stretches out ahead!
Thank you, Carol. For me, this is definitely the signal that spring has begun. They appear right after the snow melts, sometimes even piercing the snow in their haste! After our long, cold winters, I’m thrilled that we have the next six months of relative warmth ahead of us.
And conversely for you, may your autumn and winter be enjoyable.
“Did someone see where I dropped my contact lens?” 😀
Hehe, ‘rots o’ ruck, Rorge!’ 😉
😀
Such a wonderful sight and photo!🙂 I’ve been on flower watch whenever I’ve been out, but haven’t seen anything.🌷
Thank you! I’m surprised, as I thought your season is ahead of mine. I saw a couple purple crocus today near the house – no clue how they got there though. Maybe ants? Some are know to store seeds in their middens where they sprout.
Oooh, you have flowers at last! 🙂 I’m so jealous. Yesterday was just awful up here and I’m about to head out the door and dig us out of the huge drifts.
We still have snow in the shadowy areas, but I feel for you as you face down the last of winter’s wrath. Think June! 🙂
So pretty. Looks like spring took a few footsteps in your garden and left some flowers behind. 🙂
Thank you, Robin. She has definitely arrived! Yay!
Snowdrops with the arrival of spring ~ a perfect photo for the perfect feeling of spring.
Thank you very much, I’m always thrilled to see these first flowers of spring.
Such delicate little things. Our snowdrops have disappeared until next year.
They are so lovely to behold so soon after the snow melts, announcing the end of winter!
Snowdrops are such sweet, delightful little things! 🙂
They truly are, a gift of nature!
I’m nearly a week late claiming my smile, but it’s a broad one!
Thank you, Susan. 🙂
Interesting blooms.I see eyes and droopy ears!
Thank you, Denise. Yes, they remind me a bit of lop-eared rabbits. 😉
