Idyllic!
All it needs is a lawn chair! 😉
The autumn colors are beautiful. Love the sunflowers!
Thank you, Sandy!
My pleasure.
Love Sunflower energy! 🌻🌻🌻🌻

Perfect fall scene!
Yes, indeed – thanks, Audrey!
Huge Sunflowers and corn tassels….and autumn leaves…so peaceful.
Thank you, Alice. 🙂
My daughter’s favourite flowers. I look forward to your contributions each week! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much!
Very restful and serene! 🙂
Thank you, Rebecca!
A picturesque scene – lovely composition.
Thank you, Anne. Classic New England. 🙂
Beautiful. Is that a dovecote on the building? I’ve never really thought about what those shutter things are for!
Thank you, Ali. I expect the cupola’s original purpose was ventilation, but I suppose bats and birds could have found a home there as well.
Reblogged this on Purplerays.
Thank you for reblogging!
Beautiful – I am afraid the slugs had most of our sunflowers this year!
My sympathies, slugs are irksome, and deer, too, which recently nibbled the last of mine and the amaranthus, as well. Sigh.
We only have farmed deer near us, so thankfully not a problem for us.
Deer have become a huge problem in the eastern US, as their numbers increase and their wild habitat shrinks due to development. Interestingly, they are adapting by becoming smaller in suburban areas, larger ones starve in winter, smaller ones survive.
Evolution in action!
what a spot, beautiful!
Thank you, Dorris!
I love the sunflowers too. Such a beautiful scene.
Thank you, Vicki. 🙂
Great framing Eliza!
Gracias, Maria!

Your pictures bring a minute of peace as they take me back to childhood memories. Thanks! In this world of chaos that we live in these are precious moments.
What a lovely comment – thank you! I’m glad to know they have brought you some peace. 🙂
The sunflowers seem to be very interested in something on the ground there. 🙂 … love the autumnal colour palette. 🙂
Thank you. 🙂 Their burden is a heavy one!

We sure do.
Just gorgeous!

Lovely tranquil scene.
Fall in New England – a classic! 🙂
Perfection!
Thank you, Kathy. Hope you are doing well!
While I understand “Silent Sunday,” I have never liked it because I always want to know where, when, why, how come, who……… about the picture without having to type a comment like this.
This is called ‘social’ media for a reason, lol! For some, words can distract from the impression of a photo. Often, I do give details in the tagline. So, to answer your inquiries: Ashfield, MA, Sept., because it is a beautiful scene, by me. Hope you have a great day and thank you for your visit. 🙂
Beautifully composed picture Eliza.
Thank you, Brian!
Perfect. Those sunflowers look remarkable fresh against the turning leaves.
Thank you, Allison. 🙂
So quaint and peaceful. It’s the perfect early autumn scene. 🙂
Thank you very much, Diana!
Wow, this looks like a painting…you truly live in a beautiful place.
Thank you, Jen. I feel blessed to live in such a lovely place. ❤
Tranquil
Thank you, Karen. 🙂
This is so beautiful, Eliza. I love how you framed it. Looks like your changes are far ahead of ours. In fact, our foliage is currently confused. Some of the trees, fully leafed, are putting out new leaves in spring green colors and the tomato plants are flowering again.
Thank you, Robin. Our peak foliage is about a week late due to a warm Sept. Your plants’ behavior is very disconcerting. My sister has an azalea in partial bloom and I saw a forsythia with some flowers on it the other day. Last fall, astounded, I saw an entire crabapple in full bloom. Clearly, our weather patterns are confusing lots of plants.
It makes me wonder how the plants will learn to cope with the changing weather patterns, what the world will look like in 20, 30, or 50 years.
I wish I could be optimistic, but since plants can’t migrate, I think the weeds will be the only ones left. Evolution takes time.

Thank you, glad you found it so. 🙂
