Oh, so lovely! 💖🌸💖🌸
Thank you, Trini!
So peaceful 🙏🏻🌈
🙂 Summer is a lovely time in my garden.
What a lovely scene!
Thank you, Anne!
Sure is a lot growing there! What is the yellow plant behind the phlox? Is/was there a wren family?
Yes, the wrens had a brood this spring. This is in the field edge where everything is let grow wild. The yellow is jewelweed (Impatiens pallida), while the orange is I. capensis. It is amazing how tall everything gets in a few short months. Frost will put it all down eventually. The cycles go on and on. 🙂
What a perfectly peaceful garden scene 🙂
Thank you, Vicki. It is quiet now that the wrens are gone, but the flowers bloom on. 🙂
Beautiful. I never met a Phlox I didn’t want nor a birdhouse I didn’t think was interesting. You have them both. 🙂
Thank you, Judy. I sometimes end up putting divisions in the field rather than in the compost pile. They compete well with the other wild plants.
Very lovely Eliza!
Thank you, Maria! ❤
Peaceful and pretty!
Thank you, Hien!
The birds have a lovely home! 🙂 And now I see the yellow jewelweed!!
Thanks, Joanna. Yes, I was hoping you would notice it. 🙂 It is pretty with the orange. I’ve been watching for seeds, not long now.
Such Serenity. Gorgeous, Eliza!! 💖
Thank you, Amy! Do you keep birdhouses? Bet the kitties would like the viewing entertainment. 😉
You bet I have birdhouses! Between the chipmunks running and bouncing around, the squirrels, and the birds who are not just near or on the birdhouses but in my gardens, on the grass, in the bushes … my cats do not lack for entertainment. I even have a friendly rabbit living in one of my gardens. No he does not eat the flowers which to me is a great mystery. HARMONY lives in my backyard. BIG SMILES!
🙂
Sweet!
Thank you, Laurie!
What a lovely place for the birds to live. 🙂
Thank you, it is pretty posh, if a bit wild. 😉
Lovely spot!
Thank you, Belinda!
Sweet. Vacant birdhouse and phlox in bloom tell us that summer is nearing an end as autumn knocks at the door.
Thanks, Peter. The sun is sliding ever lower on the horizon, our warm days are numbered!
I hope you have some weeks yet to enjoy the warmth of summer, Eliza!
Thank you, Kris. Leaves have already begun to turn, but I expect we’ll have warm days for a few more weeks. The past few days have been quite summery, but it won’t last forever. While I know you look forward to October, I have trouble saying goodbye to the warmth and sun. I really need two homes! 😉
Are their occupants?
Not anymore, the wrens had a brood in the spring. Well, there may be wasps, but we won’t be investigating!
Heh, a room with a, lovely, view! 😀
Yes, birds are spoiled around here! 🙂
How bird-inviting, sweet and lovely!
Thank you, Donna!
That is so beautiful! Our jewel-weed is orange, but looks the same foliage wise, very pretty!
Thank you, Jen!
Beautiful, Eliza. Charming too.
Many thanks, Cynthia!
Such a peaceful and beautiful scene!🙂
Thank you! Not so busy as yours, but home sweet home it is!
That’s a keeper – great composition !
Thank you!
Very nice late summer blooms Eliza!
Gracias, Maria!
