"To me, photography is an art of observation. Itβs about finding something interesting in an ordinary place. . . Iβve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them." β Elliott Erwin (Documentary photographer)

Gorgeous, Eliza π
(funny how I’ve got a photo of a similar, if not the same, variety).
Thank you, Vicki. It is probably a very common variety – I don’t even remember where I got it!
Gorgeous colour and texture and ornately shaped too.
Thank you, Carol. These flowers remind me of floating clouds.
Beautiful! Thanks Eliza!
Thank you, Reed!
Vibrant colours of nature. Beautiful.
Thank you, Alison. Nature is amazing!

She just exudes sunshine and summer essence!
Thanks, Kathy!
Beautiful contrasting colors.
Thank you, Irene.
Gorgeous! I’ve had and killed a few Iris ensata but they haven’t stayed around for too long. Glorious success!
Thank you, Peter. I guess I’ve found the right spot for this one!
Lovely details! Flowers are more ‘patient’ than butterflies to photograph…π the Monarch I was following a few days, wouldn’t stand still!
Yes, flowers are easier for sure. I’ve been seeing more Monarchs lately and there are caterpillars on my plants. π
Oh, joy! I’ve not seen any Milkweed nibbles….only one BST ‘pillar here, on Rue & it’s last day on Parsley. Saw a Monarch today, too.
….the Iris’ stripes remind me of Crocus stripes…
Yes, I can see the resemblance!
What a beauty! I’ve always loved the color combination of purple and yellow. β€
Thank you, Olga. I’m glad to have lots of blossoms this year!
What a beauty!

Thank you, Pete, much appreciated!
I love the vibrant – yet cool – color!
Thank you, Kris. I had to move it last year, and it seems to have liked the change. π
