Silent Sunday

This is beautiful!
Thank you, Anne!
The one on the left looks like a sugar maple. The one on the right looks like a red maple. I can not tell from the pictures. Neither are common here.
You got it, Tony. Without the maples, we’d have none of the striking red and orange that makes New England foliage so popular. Thanks for your visit!
Welcome Autumn ๐
It is full upon us! ๐
Autumnal blue sky … perfect! ๐
The contrast makes the colors all the more striking.
What a lovely autumnal canopy! ๐๐๐๐๐๐
Thank you, Trini!
October….look upwards!
Yes!
Looks very much like here, but you have a few more leaves left on your trees. We had strong winds (the tail end of hurricane Maria) bringing a lot of the lovely leaves down. Have a lovely Sunday Eliza! ๐๐
Thank you, Cathy. I had no idea you were impacted by Maria, too. One strong storm, made it nearly full circle back to Africa from which it came. Really makes one ponder…
The autumn hurricanes and storms in your Gulf region get taken up across the Atlantic by the Gulf Stream and often cross the UK or at least Scotland before coming back down to northern Europe! ๐
Not such a big world after all.
Oh WOW! That photo is stunning – I bet the day was too.
Autumn weather is the best. ๐ Thanks, Sandra.
Wow! Autumn really is arriving with you. Itโs very beautiful.
Thank you, Christina. One of the reasons I love maples so much.
Reblogged this on anita dawes and jaye marie.
Thank you for reblogging!
Autumn wonders:)
Indeed ~ awe-inspiring.
Oh, wow. This is awesome (in the breathtaking sense of the word). Hello, Autumn. ๐
Thank you, Robin. Summer’s farewell symphony. ๐
I love the contrast of the three trees and the beautiful structure of the golden one. It really does evoke a sense of autumn, even here where we are experiencing spring ๐
Thank you, Carol. Contrasts abound, enhancing appreciation!
Glorious! The trees are at their peak colors here, too!
Autumn really is glorious, thanks, Joanna!
The blue sky rocks with autum’s colors! Great shot Eliza. xo
Thank you, Val. A favorite combo of mine, too. ๐
Our colors are not that far along. Rain and wind took down some of the leaves yesterday.
Lots of rain here this morning, much needed, but will take down a share, I expect.
Perfect day here.
Nothing like Fall in New England. Too hot to garden here! Maples?
Yes, sugar (yellow) and red, well, red! ๐
A picture to remind us of Heaven, Eliza. thank you.
It is, thank you, Kim!
Pumpkin scones in the oven; wish you could pop over and have a cup of tea and taste them.
Me, too, sounds yummy! Yesterday’s pumpkin donuts from the festival will have to suffice. ๐
Oh, October! Such a glorious blaze of a month.
It really isโ it always surprises and we never tire of it!
Never!
Gorgeous! We don’t get much in the way of fall color but I love seeing it, if only in photos.
Thank you, Kris. The red maples are particularly wondrous right now, esp. when they line the roads. The birch are peaking, too, their golden light illuminating the woodlands. I hope some day you get to see it in person.
Golden jubilee!!!
Yes, indeed! I bet things are looking lovely out your way…
Fall is in the air…
It certainly is!
Really stunning!
Thank you, Dawn!
Lovely shot Eliza! The leaves are slow to change in our area this year, strange weather…
Thanks, Belinda. Yes, the weather has been strange. We had fall temps in Aug. and Sept. and now we’re back to summer!
Our beautiful October foliage is here! There is nothing that can compare with what Fall in New England brings to the senses.
So true! It is a beautiful time of year (well, actually, I think New England is beautiful no matter the time of year -lol!)
Always a treat to see our beautiful Earth from your perspective. My heart sings.
Thank you so much, glad to hear it. ๐
wow this one’s a beauty!
Thank you, Micheal. Gotta love that fall color!
It looks as if your colors are farther along than ours. Our trees are turning very late this year.
The weather has been odd for sure. Our cool Aug/Sep has pushed the color earlier. Sadly, we’ve lost a lot of leaf color on sugar maples and ash due to brown leaf fungus. ๐ฆ
It’s been a very fungus-y year here for all our trees.
We had blue skies on the weekend too! ๐
It really makes the colors pop!
Wonderful colours – think I’ll take a camera day this weekend now. ๐
Good idea!
