Beautiful, but very ‘enter at your own peril’. ๐
Exactly.
๐ It is a friendly flower, really!
Truly, no danger here!
That is an AWESOME photo!!! So detailed! What kind of camera are you using?
Thank you! Canon Rebel XS
NICE!
So so beautiful!! ๐๐ธ๐๐ธ
Thank you, Trini!
So different. ๐๐ธ
That it is, one of my favorites in the garden. ๐
Such a delicate little bloom as though it’s suspended in filigree.
It is a lacy little flower, so graceful! Easy to grow, nigella self-sows as an annual for me every year.
Reblogged this on anita dawes and jaye marie.
Thank you for reblogging!
Looks like a cornflower, but I suspect it isn’t…
No, not a cornflower, which is in the Aster family, while nigella is in the Ranunculus family. But the petals share that same fluffy look.
We call this ‘love in a mist’ over here…
Yes, same here. A beauty no matter the name!
Feathery looking beauty. Not much pollen? (I need to look up this interesting flower!)
It self-sows every year. The flower comes in white, pink and blue, and the seed pod can be dried for winter bouquets.
A great picture of one of my favorite flowers! ๐
Thank you, Joanna!
Cool! Love the detail and little bit of green in there.
Thank you, Frank. Nigella is like royalty in the garden, don’t you think? Must be the little crown. ๐
Wow beautiful!!!
Thank you, Kristina!
Great capture! Nature is often beautiful, but, as in this case, it can also be cool!
Thanks, C.S. – it has a very unique beauty!
Such a complex flower! Do you know the cultivar? The petals appear much brighter than those of ‘African Bride’.
Years ago, I put in a packet of mixed colors and they have self-sown every year since. I have no blue, but a range of mostly double white, raspberry-pink and sprinkles of pink on white. They’ve probably been happily crossing all these years, each unique!
White! Love these flowers and their pods.
I know, they give us these great flowers, then lovely, striped seed pods to dry for winter. ๐
A beauty!
Thank you, Laurie. ๐
A beauty deserving to take center stage all to itself. I like your settings to separate it from the background.
Thank you, Denise. These flowers deserve our full attention! ๐
Beautiful photo of a lovely flower!
Thank you!
wow, beautiful image
Thank you, M!
