Wow!! Gorgeous!
Thank you, Alice!
Good pop of color for this time of year, Eliza!
Thank you, Kim. This is right next to my front walk, so I get to see it a lot. I love watching the vibrancy emerge!
Stunning colour.
Thank you. I love this plant for what it does in the fall!
So red yet brownish…
You see what lies ahead for this beauty – brown and tan. đ
That plant doesn’t grow around here…
Probably not, it likes a consistent amount of water.
What is this Eliza?
Gooseneck Loosestrife – Lysimachia clethroides
Thank you. Wow what a color!
đ
Reblogged this on Anita Dawes & Jaye Marie.
Thank you for reblogging!
Such intensely rich colours…
While the flowers in summer are nice, it’s the fall color with this lysimachia that really grabs my attention. đ
it is stunning, and makes a change from all the green at this time of year…
Looks like spring in Autumn! đ¸đŋđ¸
Quite flashy, isn’t it? đ
Lovely. Gearing up for the holidays.
Thank you, it does look rather Christmasy, doesn’t it? đ
Love the new gravatar!
the old me is the new me
You look very serious, like you’re about to kick butt! ;-D
Nice to still see such vibrant colour!
Thanks, Belinda. There are pockets here and there, but less every day. I’ll savor them while I can!
It’s so pretty! Are the leaves naturally shiny, or is the surface wet? (That is, do I have a second reason to be envious?)
Yes, we actually had showers that day. We are still so behind, the stream is barely a trickle and all the rivers and ponds are desperately low. Where are our autumn rains?
A vivid flash of red in the autumn landscape.
Less and less every day, so this is really appreciated.
I love the new gravatar. đ It’s a good pic of you.
What a gorgeous plant! It appears most everything still growing in the yard met the end over the weekend. We must have had some heavy frosts.
Thank you, Sarah. We’re down to dribs and drabs, not much, I’m afraid, until spring.
At least I’ll have Christmas lights and decorations to look at for the next few weeks…after that, it really is a slog to get to spring.
I love this. I had Lysimachia like that in Atlanta and it never, ever looked that good. Insipid golden brown was my version of the fall color. Although, I loved it in vases with Red Alstromeria in the summer.
Must be our cold temps. Glad it offers some benefit. đ
That’s it, another benefit!
Beautiful pop of color. đ
Thank you, Robin. One of the last.
Wow Eliza beautiful photo. That deep red is just beautiful.
Thank you, Julie. Definitely one of the most vibrant colors in my yard in fall.
How gorgeously vivid!
Thank you, Fi. A happy glow to greet us each day!
What colors Eliza.
Almost tropical. đ
