Oh, wow! This is lovely! ❤
I have to agree, Trini. I love a hot pink flower. xo
Me too!! 🙂 🙂
Thank you, Trini! 🙂
I love the little golden stars which I suppose are the true flowers of the Zinnias but they don’t all have them.
Thanks, Christina. Yes, the stars are the true florets. I like them, too, they’re cheery.
Cute, nice juxtaposition. Is that a ladybird?
It is a bright little thing, but it is a garden pest – Spotted Cucumber Beetle.
😦
It looks like a harlequin butterfly on your lovely zinnia.
It is a spotted cucumber beetle, cute, but not a friend in the garden.
Reblogged this on Anita Dawes & Jaye Marie.
Thank you for reblogging!
Love this…a walk on the wild side!
🙂 Thanks, Marian!
After the photo, was that the end of the Spotted Cucumber Beetle’s life?
No, I let it go on its way. It’s the end of the season at any rate.
Exuberant!
The glories of summer – thanks, Belinda!
Oh, that pink and yellow!
I know, so bright!
Here the stars have come down to earth! Lovely.
They almost twinkle 🙂 – thanks, Dor!
Great colours.
I agree, I love the brightness – thanks so much!
Focus, exposure, subject(s), and composition – everything is just right. Very nice!
Thank you very much, David. I liked the bright pink flower contrasting with the greenish bug.
Cute little bug!
Cute, but eats too much – mostly curcurbits and corn.
Ahhh, a cute little pest then!!
Who isn’t charmed by that dapper polka dotted overcoat?
The bug is cute but is it plant-friendly?
Cute and colorful, but not plant friendly – it’s a spotted cucumber beetle, a major garden pest.
I recognize that beetle!
😀
So very beautiful.
Thank you, Gigi.
Love the beetle’s accessory! Smart little beetle.
🙂
Zinnia perfection!
Thank you, Fi!
So beautiful!
Thank you!
Just love these colors, Eliza!! Thank you! ❤
Thank you, Amy! 🙂
Nice capture! Although it’s a little difficult to view the cucumber beetle as a lovely little thing.
Thanks, Brenda. I know what you mean and I even let this one go. I didn’t have the heart to dispatch it at the time.
Nice detail of Zinnia!
Thank you very much, Maria!
What a sweet photo!
Thank you, M!
