Beautiful.
Thank you, Tosha!
You’re welcome!
So pretty! I was also wordless, or should I say, speechless, as I watched a squirrel bite the head off of one of my crocuses and devour it!
Oh, ouch! Luckily, ours are content to eat beneath the feeders. Voles sometimes much our corms over winter, but there are always enough left to bloom in spring.
No words needed 🙂
🙂 indeed!
Gorgeous, bright and springtime beautiful!
Thank you!
Ah so lovely to see! 🙂
Yes, indeed – thanks, Julie. 🙂
Lovely sign of spring!
A happy sign, for sure!
😊
Beautiful! Is this your garden?
Thank you. Yes, they self sow throughout the lawn, so they pop up in random places. Some I plant, others are surprises!
I love it when flowers pop up from year to year. It’s like finding Easter eggs.
Yes, little surprises tucked in the grass. 🙂
Sweet.
That it is, thanks, Gigi.
Simply beautiful!
Thank you, Karen!
Oh so lovely! I have never seen this color of crocus~
Since they self sow over the years, I have no idea if they are crosses or something I put in. I do love the color on this one. Thanks for your visit, Cindy. 🙂
🙂 Have a wonderful morning Eliza.
Thank you, Nomzi and the same to you!
Thank you dear. 😊
Love crocuses…they are Spring personified 💜
Exactly so, thank you, Frances. 🙂
Reblogged this on Anita Dawes & Jaye Marie.
Thank you for the reblog!
Spring!
YAY!!! 🙂
You’re on your way! Just think of all the goodness yet to come.
I know, so exciting! 🙂
pretty! Looks like you caught a tiny insect there too, just out of hibernation.
Yes, good observation, Ann! Thanks, Ann.
That is a truly glowing shot Eliza. 😊
Thank you very much, Dor!
Oh, the joy!
Yes, indeed!
Oh, Eliza! The colors in this!!!
Isn’t it rich? Crocus self sow all over the yard now and it is like finding little jewels in the lawn.
“Jewel” is such a good word, Eliza.
🙂
Here we are!!!
Its Spring 💛
Yay! 🙂
As always eliza, beautiful! Spring is here!!!!
Hurray! Today was our first truly warm day (67) and of course, I spent most of it working in the garden. So good for the soul! 🙂
It’s that time of year 🙂
Yes, it is, I’m always happy when the little bulbs bloom!
Pretty, Eliza!!! ❤
Thank you, Mary. ❤
Wow, colours are stunning.
Thank you!
WOO HOO!!!!!
Yes, indeed, spring at last. Today was a gorgeous day, 67!
It’s supposed to snow here this weekend. 😦 Bummer!! I am going out this afternoon to get pics of Daffy’s. While I can. *sigh* Perhpas I’ll get more good sky scenes. 🙂 Have a great weekend, Eliza!!! ❤
Thanks, same to you. I’m not worried about snow as the temps are going to be well above freezing, at least during the day. 😉
Spring :-)! I love little purple crocuses and you captured them beautifully! They haven’t come up here yet, though I have seen Prairie Crocuses, which aren’t really crocuses but sort of look like them.
Thank you, Myriam. I just looked up Prairie Crocus and saw they are Anemones! I once grew a similar one, A. pulsatilla. Lovely fuzzy things!
Such hope! Such enthusiasm in their blooming!
Yes, everyone loves spring!
Spring has arrived! Beautiful, Eliza. 🙂
Thank you, Robin. Yes, spring at last. Today was the warmest day yet, 67. I spent it in the garden, of course!
How gorgeous! Spring has sprung…
SO happy for it! Thanks, Fi.
Oh, I hope to see some of these in the Violet Fern garden if they aren’t already spent or eaten by big fat rabbit. It is still quite cold. I can’t wait! These are beautiful Eliza. Crocus are one of my favorites, (I know I have a lot of favorites, but they are one of my favorite favorites!)
lol – I know that feeling, ‘favorite favorites!’ Yesterday it was 67 and my lawn was full of wide open crocus – such a delight! It’s supposed to cool off over the weekend, but I expect it won’t last long.
I bet you are itching to get your hands in your garden – soon come!
Beautiful crocuses! (Crocusi?) I have six yellow ones out – the only flowers blooming in the yard right now. Unfortunately, Choppy appears to have stepped on two of them, so I guess I am really down to four blooming flowers. But the sun is out today, so maybe I’ll come home to find something else brightening the yard!
Croci, I believe…Latin and all that! 😉
The first year in a place is full of surprises. Come fall, you’ll know just what you want to plant for the following spring.
And then I will realize I need a host of gardeners to plant the number of bulbs I want!
Piece of cake…Throw a party, everyone gets 25 bulbs to plant and no drinks or snacks until they present the empty bag. 😉
This! I can handle this. I could even promise some spring bouquets!
Contests, prizes! Annual Spring party to celebrate the results. The sky is the limit. 😉
Considering it has been snowing most of the day, perhaps we’ll skip the spring party and just have the fall one!
That purple pops nicely! Full of spring cheer
Thank you!
Beautiful photo! The colors are stunning!
Thank you, Kim!
