  1. always breathtaking!

  2. I swear they are alive Eliza. The energy you can feel coming from them. If you laid next to them I think they would speak to you. If you slept next to them, they would take you away in their dreams to a land far, far away 🤗❤️🙏

  3. It must be quite a thing to see those beautiful trees.

Redwoods are magical. It is the most incredible tree for sure. I always feel so calm when surrounded by them.

Two of my favorite local natives use sempervirens as their specific epithet: Coral Honeysuckle (Lonicera sempervirens) and Carolina Jessamine (Gelsemium sempervirens). Its fun to see the same applied to these majestic trees, although ‘sempersempersempervirens‘ might be more appropriate!

Thanks, Bela. Always hard to convey their true size, they are truly massive!

      • Bela Johnson's avatar Bela Johnson says:

Isn’t that just the occasional frustration of photographing such beauty? I find it here too. I mean some sunsets just blow the camera out with color. But then my backyard which is the most magical beautiful garden with astonishing colors and there’s no way I can photograph it to convey the feel of it.. I’ll have to wait for everything to get bigger so I can do a little snip snapshots. 🙃😊
