  9. Kathy Sturr says:

Lady Jane? So dainty and pretty!

  10. Do you think anyone has some ruby slippers I can borrow to click my heels three times and wish for some spring? Those bulbs outside aren’t growing fast enough for my tastes.

  11. Beautiful! The flower beds are still buried in snow, but we can see a few small sections of grass in the yard.

  12. Alice Pratt says:

“Blushing”….I was very sure those weren’t up yet, in your gardens…even in the sunniest spot!…..😁

    Sigh… so lovely ❤

  14. tippysmom2 says:

Very pretty! Love the contrast of the blue flower (blue bell?) in the background.

  15. Kris P says:

Is that the ‘Lady Jane’ species tulip? I’m thinking of trying those here next year. Species tulips are the only ones we have any hope of having return in future years. I grew some in my former garden, although not this one.

    • Eliza Waters says:

I believe it is T. clusiana ‘Lady Jane.’ I’ve found the same results in my yard with only species returning, esp. T. turkestanica, although I’ve had ‘Purple Prince’ return. Fertilizing and dry summer conditions offer good success it seems.
