How pretty is that? Big time sign of spring!
Thanks, Dale. I gasped when I crested the hill and saw it, and immediately thanked the couple who planted it years ago, now deceased. What a gift they left us. 💛
A fabulous gift!!
They look beautiful.
Thank you, DJ!
Gorgeous! 😍
Thank you, Jane!
Wow, and Spring has only just sprung kind lady 🤗❤️🙏
A warm spell last week pushed things along very quickly!
Yayyy! 🤗❤️🙏
I’ve never been around daffodils, so here’s a question. Are they as fragrant as they are beautiful, or does it depend on the species? The mix of yellow and white is especially appealing.
Thanks, Linda. It depends upon the variety. The big trumpets are downright smelly, but the jonquil and smaller narcissi are often sweetly fragrant. You can guess which ones I tend to plant in my garden!
Beautiful.
Happy Sunday, Eliza.
Thank you, Rupali!
This array of daffodils look particularly lovely against the fence.
Thank you, Anne. A neighbor planted these years ago and they only get more beautiful with each passing year.
That is an amazing display, Eliza…
Thank you, J & A. A living legacy from a couple up the road. I remember them fondly, esp. when I see this labor of love.
Beautiful 🙂
Thank you, on a property up the road that is a must-see. 🙂
Looks like a paradise

So many bulbs planted…beautiful result!
A living reminder of a wonderful couple who planted them years ago. 💕
Flowers of their loving labor!
Holy Toledo – now THAT’s a border! Amazing how fast everything comes up once the snow is gone, eh?
Thanks, Chris. The heat last week exploded everything!
you are ahead of us.. the flowers look wonderful… thanks so much for sharing your beautiful gardens with us.
Thank you, Dymoon. The warm weather last week made them all pop. Planted by now-deceased neighbors long ago, this border is a living reminder of their generosity.
Classic! Daffodils blooming along a rustic fence – a beautiful New England scene. ♡
Thank you, Barbara!
So lovely. One of our garden club sells bulbs each year for their fundraiser.
Thanks, Eunice. Hardy and long-lasting, they are a great choice.

Thanks, they’re a living legacy, they bloom forever.
I was very excited to find a few on my new property. They are in the grass, and I’ll move them when the time is right.
Very pretty…(Suzanne)
Merci!
Beautiful photo and story of the couple who planted the daffodils.
Thank you, it is a beautiful legacy.
This photo should be on one of those New England travel brochures, Eliza — it’s absolutely gorgeous!!

Wonderful? Whoever planted them deserves a big pat on the back!
A lot of time and effort, but well worth it, I’d say!
