That’s a real beauty, Eliza! I sometimes get these poppies popping up out of nowhere in the garden. But none this year.
Thank you, Pete. You’ll have to snag a seed pod from another gardener to sow for next year. 🙂 I would be sad if I lost these.

What a gorgeous colour Eliza, such a beautiful poppy 💜
Thank you kindly, Xenia!
So pretty! Especially when the petals are decorated with liquid diamonds. Rain?
Thank you, Kris. Yes, we did get lots of rain finally – over 3″ in a week. The plants and lawn are much happier!
We’ve never had much luck with poppies for some reason. These are lovely and maybe we should give poppies another try.
I would be happy to share some seed with you. These are annuals – I sow them in about a month in full sun and then in spring thin them to about a foot apart. Very easy!
Beautiful, the water droplets add a nice touch! 💖
Thank you, Donna! 🙂
Lovely! I haven’t seen a poppy this colour before.
Thank you, Belinda. It is an heirloom variety that self sows every year. I love it.
