  1. Congratulations! The photo is certainly deserving of the title County Living, it is gorgeous. ☺

Beautiful and peaceful place, great shot !
This is your house or an neighbour of yours ?

    • Eliza Waters says:

Thank you! It is not my house, but close by. It’s a hike we make a couple times a year. We especially like it in the fall to see the colorful trees.

  3. dorannrule says:

Is that your house Eliza? Great shot.

    • Eliza Waters says:

Thank you, Dor. Not my house, but a view I’ve known all my life. It’s a decent hike to get there, and I hope I’ll be able to make it for at least a few more years!

  4. Alice Pratt says:

Do you have a drone? 😹🙈

  5. Rita Pichette says:

    What a beautiful example of nature’s complimentary colors…..purple & yellow-green!
Is that shot taken from Pony Cliff?

    • Eliza Waters says:

Yes, it’s a classic, isn’t it? I think about getting photos of all four seasons, but I can’t get myself to take the hike in winter. At least, not so far! 😉

  6. Anne says:

You must be so pleased to have the blanket of snow sloughed off at last.

  7. Murtagh's Meadow says:

    Things are greening up:-)

  8. Robbie says:

beautiful!!!! Oh that is truly paradise. Were you hiking when you took this shot?

    • Eliza Waters says:

Thank you, Robbie! Yes, it’s a steep hike, but with that view as a reward on such a gorgeous day, it was a sweet treat! Thanks for your visit. 🙂

  9. Robin says:

Great shot, Eliza. It’s such a beautiful scene, and a wonderful look at how the green is spreading across the landscape. 🙂

  10. Beautiful area to live around Eliza! Keep hiking 🙂

  11. bittster says:

What a view, I love seeing that green shimmer start to appear. It will go quickly now, I’m excited but always a little sad to see it move so fast.

  12. Trini Lind says:

Oh, I looooove it!!! 😍😍😍. I want to live there!! 😄😄

  13. Kris P says:

A very bucolic scene and you’re lucky indeed!

  14. What a view!! You made my day, Eliza. I always see you work and I am reminded to “Pay Attention” to the life around me 🙂

  15. Kathy Sturr says:

I love the subtle bloom of maple trees. The chartreuse of the sugars and the pink/red of the red maples. That fresh little flush of spring. Also, love the new header Eliza – blood root! This year instead of saying I have been wanting to add that to my garden I can say I am enjoying its blooms!

    • Eliza Waters says:

Yay, glad you got some bloodroot. They are one of my favorite spring ephemerals. And the ants generously propagate it for me. It sometimes turns up quite far away, little surprises here and there. 😉

  16. Laurie Graves says:

More burst-into-song scenery. “The hills are alive….” What a view!

  17. Let me know if that property comes up for sale. I will move there and become your nosy neighbor!

  18. naturebackin says:

Beautiful picture and lovely the way the house seems to be embraced by its surroundings.

  19. MK says:

Looks like you captured a photo of the elusive Shangri-La.

  20. Christy B says:
