      Thank you! According to Wiki: “A mackerel sky is a common term for a sky with rows of cirrocumulus or altocumulus clouds displaying an undulating, rippling pattern similar in appearance to fish scales; this is caused by high altitude atmospheric waves.”

    Lovely silhouette and I love the cloud formations.

    I’ve just been into my archives and I’m amazed at how many images of clouds I’ve collected over the last 10 years or so. Still can’t resist a photo of interesting cloud shapes or colours at dusk
