Beautiful!
Thank you, Donna!
Is that Eden’s Perfume??
I have no idea the cultivar names… all I know is that they smell heavenly! 🙂
Spectacular. Wish you could bottle the aroma!
Thank you. If only I could!
Beautiful, Eliza! As always with every year when my peonies and lilacs flower, I really really wish I could somehow get that smell transferred into a perfume. There must be a way but I don’t know. Loving this time of the year as you are! 💕🌹💕
Thank you, Amy. It would be nice to revisit that scent at any time of the year. But I guess that is why we treasure them so much while they are here. ❤
Beautiful flower beautifully captured by your camera.
Thank you! 🙂
Pretty
Thank you, Tanya.
I don’t remember seeing your peonies before, they are lovely.
Thank you, Christina. I have armfuls this year – so pleasing!
Peonies – I never get tired of them. My new bushes gave me a few blooms this year. Next year, hopefully enough to cut some!
Aren’t they just the best? Give yours a dusting of limestone and some Plant-tone to boost them along. They’ll reward you for it.
I will! Anything to help them (though I really need something to keep Choppy from stepping on them, which is what nearly killed one last year).
Sometimes box stores have 12-15″ tall picket fence sections with stakes you can put around plants. I used them when the kids were little – they helped both the kids and dogs stay out of vulnerable garden areas, esp. those that were prone to ‘short-cuts.’ 😉
That’s a good idea – I was also considering getting some tomato plant cages and cutting them in half. One of my neighbors uses them to keep her peonies propped up during flowering season. I figure if I did that, I would be able to use them going forward as well!
Beautiful!
Thank you, Pete!
Just beautiful – wish I could smell this freshness
Thank you, I make it a point to go out several times a day just to smell them – so heavenly!
Wow – so fortunate !!!
🙂 It feels that way!
so soft and lovelyl-missed stopping by. Have not been near a computer much these days. Had to stop by and see w hat you were up to!
Thanks, Robbie. I’m glad you came by… the garden is looking June-lovely!
Lovely! I need to go out & take some pictures…..I have one bloomingmfrom a few years ago as my iPad wallpaper.
Thank you, Alice. If the cool weather holds, they might last for us.
Stunners! I wish they grew here.
Thank you, Cindy. In your area, only available in florist shops or via overnight shipping. With the internet, all is possible. 😉
Those are some flowers.
I have a bumper crop this year – I’m thrilled!
Oooh beautiful! I love peonies (who doesn’t?!).
It’s universal, I think. 🙂 Thanks, Joanna!
They are sooo lovely.
Thank you, I have to agree! 🙂
Ah, I can smell them. Lovely.
Thank you, Wendy!
Stunning … and so worth their short blooming time when we have the right spot. Lovely capture Eliza 💕
Thank you, Val. I can’t imagine living without them!
Peonies don’t need words. Their beauty and fragrance hold their own. I love them, and they remind me of my grandmother’s garden. 🙂
It is true. I often recall when I was a young child, my mother only had one bush, but she cut a few for me take to my teacher. I felt so proud! Peonies invoke deep memories. 🙂
Oh, so pretty! Looks like you have lots in bud too! 🙂
Thank you, Cathy. This is my sunniest patch and the plants are loaded with buds – such a gift. I throw my arms around them and inhale!
*SIGH*
😀 I think I need to airfreight you some stems!
I love peonies for their scent and colours. Beautiful!
Thanks so much, Belinda!
Beautiful! 😊
Thank you, Irene!
Those Peony roses are stunning, Eliza, and I like the angle you shot them from (so that the shadows make the petals stand out).
They smell so wonderful too.
Thank you, Vicki. I’ve already hugged and inhaled them three times today! 😉
Beautiful!🙂
Thank you!
I can’t smell them, but the picture is gorgeous … 🙂 xo
Thank you, Rebecca. Do peonies grow in Au?
They do, although not as native plants, of course.
Such a lovely color. I have two plants on my back hillside garden in the same shade of pink. Love them and yours!!
Thank you, peonies are so heavenly!
Is there anything more beautiful than a Peony in full bloom?? Gorgeous. I’m so glad they bloom now. They usher in summer.
They really are luscious and the last of what I consider spring flowers. You’re right, they do usher in summer.
So lovely!
Thank you, Fi!
I can only imagine how lovely they would smell. Beautiful Eliza.
Thank you, Maria. 🙂
Beautiful Eliza. We’re patiently waiting… any day now.
Thank you, Bruce. Hope yours open soon!
Very nice! Always enjoy seeing images from your garden!
Thank you, Reed! Glad to know that. 🙂
I love love love these flowers! Gorgeous!
Thank you, Dev, peonies are among my all time favorites. They go by way too quickly!
Yes they most certainly do! 😢
❤️
Ahh so pretty!
Thank you, Marie!
