Pretty close-up shot!
Thank you, Belinda. It was one of those quick takes, but in processing, I saw it was a rather pretty bug. π
Beautiful.
Thank you, Gigi. It looks art deco, don’t you think? π
Yes, art deco! Love it.
Thank you, Laurie. Wouldn’t her design make a lovely enameled pin?
Yes, yes!
the beauty of life!
Indeed. Thanks, Kim!
Very pretty! You find the most unusual insects. I need to start looking a little closer. Maybe I will too. π
Thank you, Robin. They are everywhere! π
art deco for sure.. great capture
Thank you!
after a closer look, I get the art deco thing! Super.
Thank you, Ann. π
Beautiful capture,great details !
Love it very much !!!
Thank you very much!
A color-coordinated bug – sometimes nature is so accommodating!
Yes, indeed. π Thanks, Kris!
Gorgeous bug… you know I love bugs π
Yes, you do, quite beautifully, too! π Thanks, Noortje.
It looks to be a member of Heteroptera (True Bugs).
Yes, I thought so, too. Possibly genus Lygus. There are too many species to be sure! Thanks, Jim.
Great shot Eliza ππ·
Thank you, Karen β€
It’s funny, you would think that the bug has a little golden heart on its back!
Isn’t it sweet? I thought so, too.
Very beautiful capture of the beauty of nature! I just love insects and insect photos! Lol β€ And the colors here are so pretty!
Thank you, Kim. Insects can be so fascinating, can’t they?
Yes, I have always been interested in them since I was little. π
<3! I want to know what kind of bug it is. Any idea Eliza? If this is his head shot, he's hired!
Ha! Of course you want to know! π It is definitely in the True Bug family, a Mirid Plant Bug, Genus Lygus, possibly L. shulli. With the gazillions of Genus/species out there, it takes an expert to be sure. π
That’s a cool looking bug! (I can say this, because he is not landing on me and scaring me.)
Thank you, Sarah. π Most bugs are more afraid of you than you of them. “Yikes! BIG predator!” is how they react. π I find them pretty interesting, as you can tell, and am pretty relaxed around them. I just don’t like to be lunch – mosquitoes, black flies, etc. are not welcome around me!
I have to remember they are afraid of me for the most part – it’s hard to do when some of them seem to think I’m lunch!
That’s a bug I’ve not seen before. It looks like some exotic golden demi-god scarab from Egypt. A beautiful creature.
Thank you! It was very tiny and it wasn’t until processing that I saw how lovely it really was. Definitely a demigod! π
A treasure Eliza!
Isn’t it? Thanks, Maria. π
