This is a lovely colour combination 🙂 🙂 🙂
Thank you, Anne. Mother Nature is a great artist. 🙂
So pretty
Merci!
Lovely 😍
Thank you, Rupali!
So subtle and delicate.
This is a wild patch down by our river. So pretty!
I do love those little stars of autumn.
Such a good year for them here, delightful!
Purple (or lavender) and gold spells autumn for me. I’ve found the purple beautyberries, but there’s no goldenrod yet; it’s apparently still too warm in my neighborhood!
Goldenrod starts blooming here at the end of July and it is my signal that summer is past peak on the way to fall. Mixed feelings on that one!
Asters…a reassuring sign that autumn is here. Love this, Eliza.
Thank you, Monika. It’s a good year for wild asters here, abundantly beautiful!
Gotta love the way they extend a blooming garden past the summer standouts.
Did you plant those two colors near each other, or was it a happy accident?
This was a wild patch near our river. Purely Mother Nature’s work. 🙂
So pretty, Eliza. Simple natural beauty!
Thanks, Dale. Mother Nature does it best! 👍🏼
She does!
There’s something so beautiful about autumn flowers! Maybe it’s because we’ll have to wait until spring for new blossoms.🌼🍂
We appreciate autumn’s last hurrah!
Did the recent Noreaster affect your garden in any way? We got lots of water and broken branches.
Fortunately, it didn’t have the same impact inland. We received 2.75″ over three days. 👍🏼
That’s good!
💜💚💛 love this!
Thank you, Susan! 🙏🏼
Autumn yellows and fall asters, a time-honored combination. We’re getting rain this week, the garden is bursting out of its summer-dry doldrums. Hurrah for the change of seasons!
Indeed. Enjoy your second spring!
That makes a lovely mix, Eliza. And I’m pleased to see that I received your post on a timely basis for once today. Dare I believe that Blogspot may have fixed its glitch at last?!
Thanks, Kris. I used to get your posts in my inbox, but Blogspot stopped notifications. Have they restarted that? I have to remember to check your site to see your posts, and I don’t always remember to do so, thus my delayed response time. 😣
Blogspot’s entire blogroll fell apart for several weeks in my case and had been acting up for others for longer still – I couldn’t even see updates to the Wordsmith bloggers’ sites except by pulling up individual URLs manually in many cases. As of today, the blogroll seems to be working again on my end but I can’t testify as to the impact on your end.
A lovely colour mix!
Thank you, Belinda! ☺️
Such a classic fall look!
Indeed. 🙂 Thank you, Julie!
so beautiful- two of my favorite fall flowers. thank you
Thanks, Pat. Asters are having a great year here!
This time of year I’m amazed by how beautiful some of the wild asters are. I saw a beautiful pale blue one poking out of a hedge and I hope it never gets weeded out.
Heart-leaved (S. cordifolium) is my favorite and I never tire of it. The ones here are blooming like crazy this year, fluffy, lavender pillows everywhere!
Blue asters are high on my aster list, such a pretty image of them and the goldenrod!
Thank you, Tom. This year rates high on my aster sighting list, incredibly good. How about you?
Such perfect wildflowers! Goldenrod in abundance in my yard. We got almost 9” of rain from that storm. I wish so many posts wouldn’t go into Junk!)
Not sure why WP keeps putting your comments into spam, even after I hit ‘approve,’ argh!
Lovely and perfect Fall flowers. I have an abundance of Goldenrod, in my yard…so cheerful.
Thank you, Alice! Great pollinator plant, too!
My Comments go into Spam?! & then I don’t see my post, so comment again. Monday’s was in my Inbox.
WP can be moody! There are a few other regulars that I occasionally find in spam, I can’t quite figure out why.
Beautiful splashes of color. 🙂
Thank you, Rebecca!
So pretty Eliza! ❣️
Thank you, Cathy!
Love this delicate grouping, Eliza. 🙂
Thank you, Jane. Fall offers much beauty!
