What a lovely web – it is spider season for sure.

  8. They do amazing needlework don’t they. You catching any of this storm? We have had some downpours 25 mph breezes but so far the only victim is once again my Jerusalem Artichokes just too tall for their own good.

I’m fascinated by the web in the lower right quadrant of your photo. I’ve never seen angular terminations like those shown here. There are at least two ‘squared off’ ones, one that ends in a slant, and to their left, one that looks like a building rooftop with an antenna sticking up. Really cool!

  13. Excellent close up and beautiful against that background!

  14. Great photo. Sometimes webs are hard to photograph.

  15. Maria's avatar Maria says:

That is one busy spider! You’ve managed to capture such beautiful details.

I love watching spiders build these kinds of webs … clever wee beasties. 😀

  22. Bela Johnson's avatar Bela Johnson says:

Ariadne at work. Humans really did arrive on earth with everything we needed to learn and survive and create. And thus were born the myths. And then you look at the spider’s web. It’s all just a spiral within a spiral within a spiral. 🙏♥️

  23. Oh! this is so fanastic! Wonderful shot. Great title!

  24. Incredibly exquisite, Eliza.

  25. I wonder how spiders perceive the webs they make.

  26. M.B. Henry's avatar M.B. Henry says:

So beautiful! I just got a pretty good capture this morning of a web covered in dew!

  27. Rebecca's avatar Rebecca says:

Aren’t spiders amazing! I have seen some of the largest webs this month that I ever remember seeing. Capturing their work in a photograph isn’t always easy. You did a great job.

  28. WOW! That’s amazing on the spider’s part and yours!
