IAVOM – This and That

My garden is progressing, but with cooler temps prevailing, things are moving slowly. Today’s vase contains two varieties of Narcissus (possibly ‘Pipit’ and a poeticus hybrid), presiding over clustered blooms of Japanese quince (Chaenomeles japonica) and lungwort (Pulmonaria ‘Diana Clare’).

Thanks to Cathy at Rambling in the Garden who hosts the weekly garden meme In A Vase On Monday, featuring flowers from our gardens. Click the link to join the fun or see what others are sharing this week.

The quince looks great in combination with the narcissus. Nice closeup of the narcissus.

That is an interesting combination. I am particular fond of flowering quince.

I love the way the colors of the flowers and the colors of the fruits in the tablecloth complement one another! The cherries and the quince are especially eye-catching.
