My first vase of the season features Narcissus ‘Thalia’ and a dark purple, semi-double Helleborus hybrid, possibly ‘Wedding Party Dark and Handsome’? in my Lenox daffodil vase. Nice to be back to creating arrangements from my own yard and garden!

That is a nice contrast between the “black” and white flowers.

If you’re on Instagram, check out my #tinyvases @shrinola. No problem if you’re not on Instagram— I understand the reluctance!
Thank you, Ellen. I try to pick vases that correspond with the flowers. That daffodil vase gets used even without daffs, but in season, it is a first choice. 🙂
Gorgeous!! Here’s too many more bouquets this season(s)!
Thank you, Nancy. Looking forward to it!
What a brilliant vase for showing off narcissi and other spring flowers, Eliza. The white Thalia and the dark hellebores make a glorious combination

MJ
Thank you for your enthusiastic support, MJ! 🙂
Those colors are so pretty together! We have some white daffodils too, but I don’t know what the purple flowers are. We’re a long way from having any other flowers available for putting in a vase.
Thank you, Dawn. I love having vases of flowers in the house and putting them together is such fun for me.
so elegant!
Thank you, Catherine!
The dark hellebore is really striking Eliza, especially with the white Narcissi. Congratulations on your first 2026 vase! 😁❣️
Thank you, Cathy. Let the creating begin!
I love the contrast! Did not know you could get hellebores that dark, fab u lous!
Thank you, Amy, that one is my best, very vigorous. 👍🏼
Interesting! When I had Hellebores..20-30 years ago, they were pink, dark pink and chartreuse and everybody got excited about the chartruese.
The hybrids these days are coming fast and furious, you wouldn’t believe the varieties!
The variety does astonish me.
How very nice to see again, a lovely arrangement!
Many thanks, Belinda!
That is a wonderful mix Eliza.
Thank you, Eunice!
Ah yes! Your lovely arrangements. I missed them over the winter. So nice to see this!
Thank you for the encouragement! 🙂
Not the spring colors that come to mind but very pretty and unusual!
Thank you, Denise. Tuxedo colors! 😉
