  1. A world of its own. Very nice!

‘Tulip puddles’…look frozen….there will be pretty blooms.

  3. Eliza, this is beautiful. The images appear to show simple growth and yet with the title of your post, one is invited to look more deeply and to appreciate the unfolding in an altogether different way. You do this regularly and it makes me observe your images quite differently than I might otherwise…especially if I’m in a hurry. Thank you for such thoughtful and beautiful posts. 💜🙏🏻

Surface tension beats inner tension every time!

Genial idea! We’ve been getting rained on for thee past two days, with one more day of rain tomorrow. I should get out and see how the plants are doing.

  9. Little cups of water.

  10. What a lovely view of a slice of spring that will just get prettier once they bloom.

  11. Dale's avatar Dale says:

    Wonderful. Love your title 🙂

  12. Debbie's avatar Debbie says:

Kind of reminds me of ice cubes in a glass of water. Nicely done, Eliza.

  13. Interesting how the water froze within the plant…Here in Montreal, we are (again) expecting snow tonight and tomorrow. Hopefully, it won’t stay on the ground too long. (Suzanne)

    • Eliza Waters's avatar Eliza Waters says:

Thank you, Suzanne. It does look like ice, but they are just filled with rain. We’re getting a wintery mix today with snow overnight. Winter lingers on!

  14. That is quite literally cool. Tulips?

    Like tiny teacups! Love these.

A wonderful capture, Eliza. These kinds of small gifts on the ground, in trees, near or part of shrubs, are such treats to come across. Thanks for sharing this darling set-up!

Very interesting shots, Eliza! The foliage holding the the water/ice reminded me of tulips, although the surrounding foliage clearly isn’t that. What is it?

  18. Excellent title for this interesting sighting!

  19. Yep! Sacred Spaces and Places, our natural world. Your photography always captures the “in between”

  20. tomwhelan's avatar tomwhelan says:

A pretty sight – for the shapes of the tulip foliage and the little pools of water.

  21. A different kind of crystal ball!

  22. May your tulips and my daffodils survive this load of snow being dumped on us today.

    • Eliza Waters's avatar Eliza Waters says:

Yes, thankfully, it isn’t too cold, that would do more damage. Under a blanket of snow, at least they stay at 32º, but the heaviness is another story… 🫤

  23. Bela Johnson's avatar Bela Johnson says:

Looks like faceted sapphires! Beautiful, Eliza! xo

  24. greendreamsswe's avatar Maria says:

    They are so beautiful ❤

My plan for the weekend was to get some fencing up to protect my budding tulips from the deer, but now the ground is covered by snow…we’ll see how things are tomorrow.

    The wonders of nature. ❤
