Beautiful and humbling as we all try to be creative in our own little way during the holiday season. Blue ribbon to Mother Nature!
You have that right, Judy! Thanks much. 🙂

Thank you, Tina! x
These images are remarkable, Eliza. Thank you for sharing them – this is something I would never see here in the subtropics. Nature is amazing. ❤
My pleasure to share, Joanne, thank you. This type of beauty is the silver lining for living in a cold climate. 😉
Beautiful patterns in the ice. I also love when people in the northern hemisphere share icicles and/or snow on the trees. I’m sure I was a northern hemisphere dweller in a previous life as I hate the heat and love the snow.
I have to admit to being envious as we don’t get ice on the ground, even in the depths of winter with low(er) temperatures.
Thank you, Vicki. There are pros and cons, of course. There is the beauty and the crisp air, which is invigorating if one is properly dressed for it. But then there is snow that must be shoveled, driveways and roads cleared and treacherous conditions if ice is present. But I love a hushed walk on a snowy day, the moonlight glancing off snow crystals on a clear night and even icicles(as long as they don’t fall on me!). So when the conditions aren’t ideal, I just stay inside until they improve! 😉
I forgot to add, I love the softer light up in the mountains under snow.
Australia, in general, has such harsh bright light. I put it down to the hole in the ozone layer above us. The best we get is a foggy morning in winter. My brother, living up in the country overlooking a deep valley, gets lots of mist and fog in winter.
Beautiful ice patterns. 😊
Thank you, Pepper!
Very cool, and I agree, nature is amazing. Reminds me of the rake designs in the sand of Japanese gardens.
Thank you, David. The flow of water is the most primal works of art. 🙂
No wonder so many artists take their inspiration from nature. I have always found ice patterns surreal, interesting, ethereal, inspiring and totally individual. These are wonderful.
Thank you, Jill, well put! 🙂 ❄️💙
Magical and fascinating.
Glad you found it so. I am drawn in to these frozen art works every time!
Truly amazing pics!
Thank you, I love ice formations, no two ever alike. 🙂
That’s the same reason snowflakes are so intriguing!
Exactly! Same with all things, yet humans keep wanting everyone to be, look and act the same… what’s up with that? 🤔
I ask myself that frequently.
Wow, love love love these images Eliza
🙂 Thank you, Sylvia! 🙏🏼

Thank you, I could have taken dozens of photos, but I tore myself away, as my spouse was patiently waiting! 😉

Thank you, Karina!
I love how you captured the intricate patterns and textures of the ice formations 🧐 they look like abstract paintings and sculptures!
