That looks like outside my window! Did you secretely come for a visit? π Beautiful photo π
Yes! β€
(Oops, I meant that for Anne. I’m not stalking you, lol!)
Haha, I wish! I would have knocked on your door to have a chat over tea. π
Just wonderful!
Thank you, Sandy!
Most welcome, Eliza!
Lovely βοΈ
Thank you, Saania!
Itβs a pleasure π
This picture reminds me of Robert Frost’s poem, “Mending Wall”:
Something there is that doesn’t love a wall,
That sends the frozen-ground-swell under it,
And spills the upper boulders in the sun;
And makes gaps even two can pass abreast.
Yes, one of New England’s native sons, Frost knew this area very well. π
Yes! β€
Beautiful.
Thank you, Cynthia!
tant de neige plaisir de voir, on en manque tellement ici en France
De plus, votre photographie est un rΓ©gal pour les yeux
Merci beaucoup!
So pretty!
Thank you, Fi!
Another stunning image, Eliza… You have an incredible eye for these things…
Thank you very much, Anita!
Sun, shadow, and a stone wall – pure New England. π
Yes, it is…I love it here. Thanks, Judy!
Beautiful snow!!! Uncommonly rare here this winter in Ohio. Can’t believe I actually miss it, but maybe we’ll get one nice snowfall yet before spring. But in the meantime, thanks for sharing some of yours!!!
Thank you, Cindy, happy to share! π
Fresh snowflakes on a stalwart stonewall.
Yes, the contrast is always striking.
Beautiful!
Thank you! x
Love how you captured the snow-covered trees surrounding the beautiful stone wall waiting for the warm reach of the sun.π
Thank you, S. These old stone walls are a marvel.
Reblogged this on Blue Dragon Journal.
Thank you for reblogging, Eliza!
Nice Eliza! I like the warm sunshine and then the cool of the shade in the same image!
Thank you, Reed!
Very pretty. π
Thank you, Irene. x
Your photo reminds of a house a I once lived in that had a stone wall covered in snow all winter. I love your snow photos, as we never see snow here. But, there is an outside chance of flurries in a day or so as a storm blows by.
Thank you very much! I’m in love with rural living and scenes like this. Hope you and the garden plants weather the upcoming cold spell.
Oh, winter in New England!
It’s one of the reasons why we love it. π
A gorgeous image Eliza, we’re still waiting for snow here xxx
Thank you, Xenia. It has been an extra mild winter everywhere it seems.
So much snow!
A bit has melted since this shot, but yes, we still have snow despite the warmer than usual winter.
Ah, cool. Love the little patches of sunlight in the shadow. I hope we get to see a bit of snow some time this winter (just a smidgen you understand).
Thanks, Allison. A bit of snow is nice – everything in moderation. π
A lovely image of unsullied snow drifting up onto the old wall and contrasting with the textured trunks of the trees. It looks so peaceful.
Thank you, Carol. I do love the peace of this place, such a blessing that I appreciate every day.
I think your winters must be quite stunning at times Eliza – you manage to capture the atmosphere well in your photos. Have you had much snow this winter? We have barely had a sprinkling.
Love it!
The title is really good!
Gracias, Maria!
What a beautiful sight. I feel cooler just looking at the snow online π
Thanks, Vicki. The pause that refreshes! π
Lovely, Eliza!
Thank you, Julie!
Lovely scene. Youβre getting your share of snow too, I see. π
Thank you, Belinda. Today is freezing rain, :(, what a mess… Praying for our trees.
Iβd take snow over freezing rain every time!
You got that right!
So New England, Eliza. A snowy woodland landscape with an old stone wall, so ubiquitously seen in our woods walks. Nicely composed too.
Thank you, Steve. It is a fine legacy.
Awesome capture, Eliza! Looks like it is here. We finally got snow.
Snow at last, it isn’t winter without it. π Thanks, Amy!
You are welcome!! xo
Super! I love stone fences like this one. The snow makes it even more interesting!
Thank you, Denise! The snow highlights them so well. I often marvel at what it took the men and animals that built them. Sore backs and a few crushed fingers! π
This is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your snow. I don’t think we’re going to see any this year.
Thank you, Robin. We awoke this a.m. to a surprise 4″ of new fluffy snow! Rain was predicted, but I guess the band shifted south a bit. Now it is changing to rain and more mixed tonight. Good snowman snow. π
Beautiful snowy day!
Thank you, Nicole!
