  2. Vicki says:

Thanks Eliza, I feel cool immediately upon sight of your image.

It was 44C(112F) yesterday and to make matters worse, our fire alarms went off and we all had to troop down the fire escape stairs and out into the heat (well, not me, I, together with 2 others claimed dizziness and heat exhaustion and stayed in the foyer).

Seasons greetings to you and your family. Hope you have an enjoyable time over the next couple of weeks and looking forward to some more lovely nature images in 2020.

Happy Solstice, Eliza! I love the tracery effect of the frosting. I am struggling to like posts again at the moment – it’s not your blog, but some setting in my browser I have yet to fathom, but I very much like this.

Wonderful image. I used to visit my kids’ classes on the Winter Solstice and read them stories about the original customs associated with the Solstice. The kids were so receptive to these stories, I miss those days. Happy Solstice to you Eliza!

  30. MAGIC ELIZA, NOW IT IS TIME TO ENJOY CHRISTMAS, CHINA

  31. Your beautiful photo, to me, is the visualization of Lewis Caroll’s words: “I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, ‘Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again’.” Thank you for sharing it!
