Silent Sunday

Such a fine coating – a crystallized leaf.
Loved it 🙂
Thank you, Anne. Hoarfrost can be so pretty, but fleeting, as it can be dislodged by wind or melted by the first rays of the sun. Ephemeral beauty!
Loved it 🙂
Thank you, Athira!
The background colours are such a wonderful contrast to those wintry leaves.
Thank you, Audrey. Yes, warm and cool in the same shot. 🙂
Warming, and it goes so well with your header image!
Thank you, Allison. It is the golden time of year!
That autumn light shining on the frozen leaves is glorious. Very beautiful Eliza.
Thank you, Maria. I was racing the sun before it melted all the hoarfrost!
How many hours of daylight do you have now?
Less than 10, winding down to about 9 at Solstice. Not sure if I dare ask about your daylength! Not as sunny as Vegas, but much nicer, I bet!
It’s 6,5 hours between sunrise and sunset. Nice hours though 🙂 The air feels so good.
I bet… cool crisp air is so much nicer than hot and dry. 🙂 Have a great week ahead, Maria!
Beautiful light and colour Eliza.
Thank you, Karina.
Mother Nature leaves us beauty all around regardless of season if we only look. 🙂
So true. Thanks, Judy!
This is a nice lighting turnaround from the usual bright foreground and dark background. Lovely picture, Eliza.
Thank you very much, Steve.
Interesting capture of frozen against the bright golden background.
Thank you, Alice. Early morning sun lit everything up!
Luscious colors!
Thank you! x
Love the gold background…
Thank you, Chris!
I love the golden background too!
Thank you! It was a lovely, frosty morning.
I do like to see a frosted leaf! And those are quite lovely, Eliza. AS someone said earlier, the color contrast is nice, too.
Thank you, Lisa!
Thats a really striking photo Eliza, Well done!
Thank you very much, Alison!
Stunning Eliza!
Thank you, Cindy!
A beautiful frosty leaf, but the pure golden background is even lovelier!
Thank you, Cathy. I loved that pop of gold even if it had to be downplayed to see the leaf. 🙂

Thank you for reblogging!
So very lovely!
Thank you, Laurie!
The touch of frost looks beautiful.
Thank you, Brian!
A time to be still and go inward 🍂🍁
Yes, indeed. Thanks, Karen! ❤
Such striking contrast captured in this image. The frost on the dead leaf gives more than a little hint of the changing of the seasons.
Thank you, Vicki. We get frost nearly every night now; this morning there was a covering of snow and freezing rain, which turned to rain. One never knows what the weather will be in New England!
Really lovely, Eliza!
Thank you, Belinda!
Fabulous photo with that golden light!🙂
Thank you, S!
So lovely Eliza, love the yellow background.
Thank you, Karen!
I’m sure I’ve said it before, Eliza, but you have a great eye!
Thank you very much, Kris. I don’t mind hearing it again. 😀
Brrrrr! 🙂
It’s that time of year!
We’re coming up on a couple of sunny days where the night-time temps are forecast to be around -6C … nippy. 🙂
Stay warm!
Will do. Three layers of everything! 😀
I see strong religious symbolism there, but it’s Sunday so I suppose I was predisposed. In any case, it is a striking photograph.
Thank you, Albert.
Love frosty leaves! 😊
Thank you, Irene!

A SAD END TO SOME GREAT PHOTOGRAPHS THIS SUMMER ELIZA, CHINA
Thank you, China, dormancy is a restful time and gratefully only part of the year. 🙂

Thank you for reblogging!
Beautiful Photo Eliza! Love the warm color of the background setting off the coolness of the subject leaves!
Thank you very much, Reed!
Always such lovely Sunday images from you Eliza
Thank you so much, Dorris.
How lovely!
Thank you, Fi!
Love it! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
Thank you, Jen, same to you!
Great background. Hoar frost certainly makes a great subject. We had widespread frost here the other day and of course the day I was out and about without my camera! 😦
Oh, rats, hoarfrost is so lovely and ephemeral. Sorry you missed the chance to record it. I bet it was lovely.
Very uplifting, Eliza – well seen.
Thank you, Susan!
Looks like sugar!
But much colder, haha!
