Sometimes you have to get your sunshine from a store, especially this time of year. A gift from my spouse, to help chase away the winter blues. Aren’t they lovely?

I might need to get some of those, too. The winter grays are so exhausting!
It really does help improve the mood – next time you go to the store, treat yourself, you deserve it!
Simply,yes and we love hubs.
That we do!
👍
Oh, yes – perfect gift! We are rejoicing in some of our orchids and azaleas blooming indoors!
Flowers really are pick-me-ups in winter!
I really miss those thoughtful gifts from my spouse. Daffodils are such a promise of Spring. Really enjoy!
Thank you, I will!
Those are perfect for a mid-winter pick-me-up.
Yes, they are – so needed right now!
My favorite color 🙂
A happy song of a color!
What a lovely bunch of sunshine! 😀 … we actually had a few minutes of real live sunshine today, peering through the mists and dark rainclouds.
Sunshine improves my mood in winter, I wilt without it!
Loveliness!
Thank you, Cindy. Are you settling back in after being away for so long? What a trip that was!
Wonderful burst of colour. Beautiful!
Thank you, Belinda. Aren’t we just starved for colour by the end of January?
Thanks for brightening the day with your lovely flowers.🙂
Thank you, glad to share with my snowbound friends!
Gorgeous! Initially thinking that these appeared in your garden, I felt a definite flash of jealousy. You have a very thoughtful husband. Floral gifts show up here only on our anniversary.
Ha, as you can see from the snow in the background, there won’t be daffodils in my garden for at least 3 months. That’s why store bought are such a godsend to ward off my winter doldrums. 😉 And yes, he is very thoughtful. 🙂 You’ll have to drop more hints to your spouse.
Really lovely! Like the sun shining indoors! Thank you for sharing them 🙂
Thank you, Michelle, my pleasure!
Like sunshine.
A wonderful thing during the long, cold and gray days of mid-winter.
They’re beautiful! How sweet💜 I love fresh flowers in the house, brightens my day!
Thank you, Jennymarie!
You’re welcome! xx
Oh, how lovely, Eliza. My partner never buys me flowers — he says he’s not into romantic gestures! (Although he does buy me gorgeous little chocolate and salted caramel tarts from a nearby bakery as a special occasional treat, so I can’t complain … !) The daffodils are gorgeous. I’m glad they lifted your grey winter spirits 🙂 xo
Thank you, Rebecca. Salted caramel tarts sound wonderful!!! 🙂
Reblogged this on anita dawes and jaye marie.
Thank you for reblogging!
A very welcome gift of sunshine!
Yes, they are, thank you!
Lovely -spring is on the way:)
I hope so! Thanks, Karina.
The color yellow can be so magical! Especially when it arrives in a bouquet of mid-winter daffodils!!
They really do warm the atmosphere, dispelling the winter blues! 🙂
Gorgeous; you need something to chase away the grey days.
That we do – thanks, Christina!
Beautiful, sunny yellow, daffodils always make me smile. 🙂 Your header shot is lovely too.
Thank you, Judy!
Yes, to sunshine 🙂 can’t get enough
Same here… 🙂 Thanks!
How sweet of him! Nothing better than that yellow at this time of year!
Yes, it was. They even smell good!
They sure are! Love that burst of yellow.
Thank you, Laurie!
What a great husband! And such a bundle of cheer! I am brightened by the kalanchoe plant I left here last year – it was the very first pot I put out in our new home – it has begun to bloom again!!! Keep on the sunny side Eliza!
Thank you, Kathy. We really need our winter brighteners!
Oh this bright yellow is exactly what I needed today. Thank you, Eliza!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you, Amy. Glad to share the sunshine!

Thank you for reblogging!
Gorgeous! Just what I needed! 😀
Thank you, Cathy. Most of us northern gardeners need a touch of spring right about now!
So bright and cheerful! What a wonderful gift! 🙂
Thank you, Joanna. They give me a much needed boost!
Gorgeous. I never usually buy flowers but at this time of the year who can resist bringing a bit of sunshine into the house?
Thank you, Chloris. With our winter being so long, store-bought flowers are a necessity!
I can never resist these when they show up at the grocery store (usually very inexpensive, too).
Yes, they are very reasonable and irresistible!
And, sadly, too easy to overlook as I march dutifully behind my shopping cart staring at my list. Good reminder!
Treat yourself, Albert, you deserve it!
They are gorgeous, and perked me right up with their cheerfulness. What a wonderful spouse you have. 🙂
Thank you, Robin. He’s a keeper, for sure. 🙂
Just bought four little foliage plants at the grocery store this morning so I could pretend spring was here. I never can resist daffs when they first arrive in the stores. But how nice that your husband brought them home.
Nice to have a bit of spring to tide us through the winter!
So beautiful 😍 that’s sunshine for sure. My mom loved them, and made sure we enjoyed them on the kitchen table every spring.
Thank you, Marie. Now that’s a nice memory!
Really does look like sunshine! 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞
Lovely flowers😊
Thank you!
Thank you for this little taste of spring.
My pleasure, Dor! 🙂
Bright yellow daffodils on a late winter day are a delight sitting in grandma’s pitcher. Our daffodils are about five inches above the soil surface and will be blooming in a few weeks.
You remembered that pitcher was my grandmother’s, I’m very impressed, Peter!
I wish it was late winter for us, like it is for you. We’ll be waiting at least another 2 months, alas!
Your spouse is obviously a lovely man and daffs are best enjoyed indoors at this time (although they are beginning to light up the village green here too)
Thank you, Allison. These have really brightened my week. It’s snowing again today!
So beautiful! ❤ I think I’m about due for some daffodils, it’s usually February when I get the hankering for some. 😊
Thank you, Julie. They’re in stores now, go for it!
Gorgeous! I’ve been tempted toward some sad looking tulips recently – if I saw these, I couldn’t pass them up.
Thank you, Sarah! When it comes to cut spring bulb flowers, buy only the tightest buds. They are relatively short-lived, so you want the longest enjoyment from your purchase.
Thanks for the tip! We did have a forced hyacinth the last few weeks. That was just so nice to have in the house, even if it didn’t last a long time.
Even a little bit of spring is better than none. 🙂
What a delightful jugful of sunshine.
Thank you, Fi. Have a wonderful weekend!
Absolutely beautiful.
Thank you, Wendy!
Ive got some in a vase on my table too, i saw them the other day and couldnt resist them. So lovely watching them open out and definitely a mood booster.
Agreed!
Hello sweet Eliza! Thanks for sharing your gift here. This cheery image has brightened my day.
So nice to see your comment here, Gina, thank you – I loved your post this morning, too. Blessings to you! ❤
They are beautiful and really are the sign of spring and sunshine and warmth! Thank you!
Thank you, Cecilia!
Lovely warm cheerfulness and signifying spring too!
Thank you, Carol, a bit of spring color is needed this time of year. We still have at least two months to go until our daffs bloom.
With more snow falling here these are a happy sight!
Thank you! They do ease our journey through winter.
Delightful, and your spouse should gets extra syrup on his pancake for this one.
🙂 I’ll see what I can do! Thanks!
Lovely… 🌻🌻
Thank you!
Gorgeous! Mr Toad loves the blooms as well! (Hmmmmmm only found this, after looking at your snowy tree & road photo)
Thanks, Alice. Mr. Toad is a happy guy. 🙂
