How great you caught them together!
Yes, a fortunate catch!
Wow! the beauties. We don’t have them here.
Thanks, Rupali. Their bright colour really makes the stand out.
It must be such fun seeing these birds!
They are favorites the year round, but really appreciated in the dormant seasons with their brilliant colour.
Oh my, they’re a beautiful pair.
Thank you, Alys. Wearing their finest, too!
Nice!
Spring has sprung then Eliza, those colour’s of life opening well 🤗❤️🙏
Thanks, Mark 🙂
Aww, so precious! Thank you, Eliza, for this beautiful share! A moment of pure delight! Light and blessings your way, today and always! ✨🙏🌞🌻

Awww… That is perfect and smile-worthy!
Thanks, Dale. They are very sweet together, he feeds her seeds! 🙂
Awwww… That is too sweet!
😍
Precious! ❤️🐦❤️ I just shot a series of my pair of cardinals courting, post coming soon!
Thank you, Donna. They are such beautiful birds.
I suspect my pair is well beyond the courting stage; they’re acting like frazzled parents, making multiple visits to the feeders each day. Whether they’re tending eggs or hatchlings I can’t say, but I love seeing them.
The cardinals here really are looking handsome these days!
What a beautiful couple!
They really are, 🙂 thanks, Cathy!
GREAT shot! ❤️❤️
Thank you, Catherine!
What a sweet couple. We have a pair, too. I saw 2 males yesterday. A pair of Bluebirds, yesterday afternoon…hadn’t seen them since March 7th.
Rivalries are spiking, but with multiple feeders, they manage to get enough to eat. While there are at least 3 pairs of both species, they have dispersed farther than in winter.
What a serendipitous capture! Both birds are super photogenic.
Thanks, Monika. It was a lucky shot. 🙂
What a wonderful image! The red on both of them is lovely. 👏
Thank you, Pepper. While the male often captures attention, I find the females are just as pleasing to the eye.
Awww….. Love is in the air!
Twitter-pation! 😉
Nice pic…courting season (Suzanne)
It is, yay… lots of singing going on. 🙂
I love to watch cardinal couples. Sweet shot!
Thank you, Sandy!
A handsome couple!

There you are! You’ve been missed. Glad to see you here. 🙂 👍🏼
They’re looking their best 😊
All set or nesting season! 🙂
Oh this made me smile!
Thanks, Laurie. They look in love, don’t they? 🙂
They sure do!
Mr and Mrs Cardinal 😀 … how wonderful, 🙂
A very handsome couple… 🙂
Beautiful colors! We have a pair that builds a nest in our back yard each year. It’s a joy to watch them.
Thank you, Rebecca. Their gangly, punk-haired kids are fun to see, too. 🙂
They look great together – lovely plumage.
Thank you, Tom.
Have you seen the Merlin app? I have been enjoying it. Cardinals are here too – that was a lucky shot!
Yes, I use Merlin most often in the spring to get myself reacquainted with migrant calls and see who is out there, newly arrived. I love it.
Wonderful photo, Eliza! I love how you captured this calm moment and the beautiful cardinal pair.
Thank you, Jet!
So sweet. Love cardinals.
Thank you, Jane!
I think many people don’t realize that the bright red familiar cardinal is the male, and that the female is less colorful.
Interesting, I’ve never thought of that.
Adorable!
🙂 Thanks, I thought so, too.
This is such a lovely photo!
Thank you, Maria!
Beautiful birds. Well done on the shot, like butterflies, they just won’t sit still nicely to be photographed.
Thank you, Liz. One has to keep shooting and hope for a decent shot.
Everyone around here has that on their mind lol
Twitter-twitter! 🙂
