lovely snowy scene, Eliza. Stay warm!

  2. Maria's avatar Maria says:

It is very beautiful. I hope you stay warm next to your wood stove though 🙂

  3. Sheree's avatar Sheree says:

    Glacial but beautiful

  4. I hear tell its been a bit white over there Eliza. Your photo looks like that wonderland indeed 🤣❤️🙏

    • Eliza Waters's avatar Eliza Waters says:

Yes, we are having a REAL winter this year. Another foot of snow expected today!

      • Wooha, that’s getting serious. I was watching a Buffalo Bills game and it was amazing watching the snow floating in and settling on everything. Mind you, lots of dropped balls. Must get a bit cold on the fingers 🤣

      • Eliza Waters's avatar Eliza Waters says:

It is currently 5F here and it numbs the fingers very quickly. Those poor guys probably can’t even feel their fingers, let alone control the ball!

      • Ooh that’s cold my friend. Just finished watching Seahawks and Rams. The commentators had to finally admit that out there somewhere was a ball and lots of players. They just weren’t sure where 🤣

Such a beautiful winter scene Eliza, I hope you’re all keeping warm and cosy! 🧡 xxx

Hi Eliza. OMG that looks horribly cold! It’s minus three here in Strasbourg and we have a two hour wait at the train station to head back to Olivia Rose. That’s quite cold enough for me.

Dry cold is better than damp cold, which I believe Europe gets a fair amount. I wear a down coat head to ankle with insulated boots and it makes it easily bearable. Not exactly stylish, but who cares? 🙂 Yesterday the windchill was -27C, but if one found a sunny pocket, it wasn’t that bad. 😀 Bon voyage!

  7. Beautiful photo of a winter scene! Happy Sunday!

  8. Beautiful! We are watching the snow build up here.

  9. Alice's avatar Alice says:

Very pretty scenic capture. We seem to be in the jack-pot zone, in eastern MA…hopefully no outages…we’ve had 3 in barely 11 months…that’s enough!

  10. Very pretty but this scene will change greatly by Tuesday morning. Stay safe it still seems we will be slammed over here by the coast.

  11. Tina's avatar Tina says:

Beautiful, snowy photo, Eliza, it’s the perfect winter shot! Funnily enough, we’re in the white this morning, too. Mostly ice/wintry mix and will be very cold in the next days. I guess that’s January for ya!

  12. jmankowsky's avatar jmankowsky says:

I’m sure we’ll both have more pics like these to post soon!

  13. Pepper's avatar Pepper says:

That looks like some heavy, wet snow. Stay safe, Eliza.

  14. ke01341's avatar ke01341 says:

The fluffy dry snow we are getting here in W MA is bringing a much needed quiet to our souls.

  15. Debbie's avatar Debbie says:

We’ve got pretty much the same weather, Eliza. Stay warm and indoors, if you don’t absolutely have to get out there on the roads.

  16. Ryan Cecere's avatar Ryan Cecere says:

Fantastic photography! The snow’s beautiful in nature.

  17. krispeterson100's avatar krispeterson100 says:

Lovely scene but I hope that snow doesn’t get any deeper with the current storm!

A snowy day indeed! Did you take that shot Monday after last weekend’s weather? Really coming down now.

  19. sandyjwhite's avatar sandyjwhite says:

Looks like heavy, wet stuff! Still pretty.

  20. shoreacres's avatar shoreacres says:

So gorgeous! We were lucky to escape ice, but we’ll stay below freezing for a bit. Your mention of below zero temperatures put me in a count my blessings mode! I think I’m going to republish one of my snow poems. I used one of Steve G’s photos in the past; would you mind if I used this one (with attribution, of course)? Even though we have the cold, we’re a little short on this sort of dramatic snow.

  21. dawnkinster's avatar dawnkinster says:

Beautiful. I don’t know where you’re from, but this looks just like where we are in Michigan!

  22. Lovely shot, Eliza! It looks like what’s coming our way ❄️

  23. Widdershins's avatar Widdershins says:

Beautiful … what with the fog freezing in the morning, frost, and a few flurries of snow, our trees look like this too. 😀

  24. Dale's avatar Dale says:

Winter is being so photogenic this year!

  25. Rebecca's avatar Rebecca says:

The snow is so lovely draped over the evergreens. A very peaceful scene.

  26. Really pretty Eliza. I love it when the snow is clinging to the trees and branches.

  27. If it wasn’t so bitter cold, I’m guessing a walk through those woods would be lovely. Take good care and stay warm.

    • Eliza Waters's avatar Eliza Waters says:

Thank you, Monika. This winter is like the ones I remember decades ago, lots of snow and cold. (I must admit these past mild winters had me spoiled!) I’ll keep calm and carry on. 😉

  28. tomwhelan's avatar tomwhelan says:

Beautiful scene and image. Snow makes trees look beautiful. Hope you dug out from the latest snowfall, we got almost 24 inches.
